They called me not even 90 minutes after I dropped him off. It was so fast, the poor thing actually had to wait until I was finished running the errands I had planned (every other time, for the past 2 years of his life, it's been at least 3 hours!) 2. Love the feel of the shop: everything is open, you can see all the dogs, it's cute, you can see all the people (so much better than when they "take them in the back") 3. Super friendly staff 4. Now here's the reason why I LOVE this shop: when I dropped off my pet, and he had the first appointment of the day, another woman walked in to drop off her pet. When the staff asked for the dog's name, they checked the calendar, and the dog wasn't on there. This other woman - who was, I guess in her 60s or 70s - wind up breaking down crying and said, "I'm so sorry. It's me. I thought this was the place, but I don't know. My husband just died a week ago and he used to handle all the appointments and everything and I'm just so confused and I'm just trying to do everything and figure it all out and I miss him." The woman was sobbing. Naturally, I started crying too but the best part was the staff who not only comforted this woman, but took her dog and told her not to worry and that they would fit the dog in and call her back soon. I think of that moment a lot because it's rare to find people with that type of compassion. Even if the prices weren't so good (they are), I would bring my dog here forevermore.

Every time we visit family in Greensburg we make an appointment for our dog to be groomed. Our dog is a little frisky to say the least and she was able to keep her calm for an hour and a half to complete the grooming. We picked up our dog and you could tell the difference in her coat. It looked and felt healthy & smelled great! She even had a cute bandana around her neck to match the season. No more stinky dog smell! We felt that the prices were very fair and competitive with other local groomers. There are no set prices because they vary depending on the type of dog, condition of coat, etc so call first to get a price. Go to Gone to the Dogs Grooming Salon! Your Dog Will Love You!

I am the proud owner of what may very well be the worst cat ever…read more She excels at two things, 1) being up in my face/lap, and 2) shedding. It got to the point that sitting next to her was like being inside a snow globe...full of cat hair. WHITE CAT HAIR. The kind that gets everywhere and is hidden against nothing. How my cat can shed so much and still be covered in long white fur, I do not know. She sheds so much that if my Dyson vacuum used a pillow, it would weep tears into it every night bc nothing can keep up with that much fur. My life was going places--going places covered in cat hair. Then, I found the Pet Stop, and all that changed. Now I look better (I actually do, I'm only mostly covered in cat hair now), I feel better (also true. Ever get cat hair under a contact lens?) and my friends say I'm much more fun to hang out with (also true, since I am no longer late to everything on account of my having to lint roll everything) The Pet Stop is in Castle Shannon on Rte 88. I called and asked if they would be able to groom the worst cat ever who is really sweet but a pain in the ass. Without missing a beat, the woman laughed and said yes, they could handle my cat. Did I mention my sweet ball of fur turns into a sabre tooth tiger at the sight of a cat brush? Yeah, thats the third thing she excels at. I brought her in, and the groomer was very very very nice with her and took time to ask me what I wanted done with her. Me: "I dont know, shave her ass! Just fix the fur, I do not care!" Instead, she laughed and told me she was going to bathe my cat and brush her out. I wanted to ask her what her drink of choice was bc I was pretty sure the groomer was going to need a drink--and possibly a blood transfusion--after bathing my cat. I wished her luck and went home to lint roll my clothes and do some vacuuming. They called me a few hours later and told me that 1) my cat was clean and ready, and 2) she was well behaved. I immediately asked if they had to tranquilize the cat and they said "No, we never do that...." So then I was pretty sure they weren't talking about my cat. I swear my cat was 3 shades whiter and 25% thinner when they returned her. She looked fantastic! She also looked miserable as hell but this was to be expected bc she'd just loved her nightmare and also who cares--she looked FANTASTIC. Here is the best part: The last time I had my cat groomed, it was $75 plus I had to pay a "Cat Behavior Fee." She was so bad I had to pay extra. IT WAS $35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't go around kissing people you don't know, but I wanted to kiss the groomer, I was so excited! I cannot more highly recommend this place! They do GREAT WORK, are friendly, and affordable! Suck it Pet Smart, you're never going to have to groom my beast again now that I've got the Pet Stop. I posted a picture of my fat white cat so you can see what they were dealing with

I have stayed with her but now I cannot. I called the day before my appointment for my female Airedale terrier this week. She's raised her prices again and I wanted to know the price. She quoted me $85 which as a $20 jump but I accepted it. The morning of the appointment my girl came in with small burr seeds in her coat. I spent some time brushing her legs and belly as well as beard to remove the bulk of them, her torso too but it is quite short cut. My dogs are very active but given the dry hot weather (and fact I've showered them numerous times to cool them off) she was not that dirty since there's no mud to get into as she loves to do. I dropped her off with clipping instructions to take her a bit shorter on her legs. When I arrived to pick her up I was charged $107. This is the second time with has been done to me and this time it was a slap in the face given I called the day before for the price. (I was charged $20 extra another time for my boy which I thought was slimy business practices. Dogs are dirty, groomers clean dogs. That's your business, right?) I protested the extra charge. The girl said "I talked to Rachel, had to bath her twice and she was matted). Bull. She was not matted as I brushed her before I brought her. She shouldn't have needed two baths if she was bathed properly the first time. And she says the new cut took longer. If you don't know a proper groom for an Airedale that is your problem. You are dog groomers who should know your business. And she nicked Mina's private parts in the process. I met a woman right after at another groomers I stopped at on the way home who also used to go the GT with Jen but found Rachel's grooming skills and professionalism lacking. Long story short. I'm done. I will not go back. You're a business owner but won't be for long at this rate, Rachel. Ps. I just got off the phone with Rachel. Although I was told the additional bathe I was charged extra now is standard - she said and I quote 'we bath all dogs twice; b) that the $85 was just a 'base price' so any additional charges- beware! They can charge what they like. And then she hung up on me.

For two years, I used this pet groomer for my English bulldog Olive every several weeks. The employees always warmly greeted us and never kept us waiting. Each appointment lasted about one hour, and the employees did a bath, blowdrying, nail-clipping, and ear cleaning. The employees gently handled my shy and nervous dog, and Olive walked into and out of the store happily. After each appointment, Olive's fur felt soft and smelled good. Recently, I began to take my French Bulldog Daisy here for grooming. So far, she has had two appointments. In the first appointment, employees did a Small-breed Bath for $42 plus tax, credit-card fee, and tip. During the second visit, Daisy got the same service, except we also asked for a tooth cleaning, which they said would cost $10. After both appointments, Daisy looked and smelled great, and she seemed to enjoy the attention.
