My experience with Merlin was awesome! I had never really been too comfortable with the different styles that I walked out from salons with in the past because my hair is really difficult to manage so I decided to give Merlin a try based on the reviews in Fresno and it's been my best decision to date. I could tell he understands the art, the intricate details of creating something using his skills to compliment my face. This is what I had always been searching for in a stylist. He listened to my ideas and looked at a few pictures I brought in to give him an idea of where I wanted to head with my hair then he began. He showed me so much about my hair and how to control it, what to use, taught me about techniques and good products to use, it was a great lesson for me and definitely something no other stylist had done for me before. He showed me a couple of different styles I could do and we eventually came to the perfect match for me in every sense. Easy maintenance, professional and fitting for my face! I felt like I paid for an awesome class on hair styling and got my hair cut and styled at the same time . I had a great experience with Merlin. My sister had previously been to him for a Brazilian blow out and raved about him. I tried to go from dark brown hair to blonde with the help of a friend. Let's just say it didn't go to well. Not only did I end up with part blonde and part brassy orange, but I also damaged it. I had a big job interview the next day and was trying to figure out how to make my hair look presentable. My sister sent Merlin a text. He immediately called back and said he would meet me at his shop...this was pretty late in the evening and on his day off. We couldn't believe he was willing to come in so late and at the last minute to help. My hair turned out beautiful. For the time he had to spend on it, the price was very very reasonable. Merlin has been cutting my hair for about a year and does a fantastic job. I get a haircut about once a month, so out of twelve haircuts, all have been perfecto. That kind of consistency is why I want Merlin to cut my hair as long as possible! He always ensures I'm happy with my haircut and is very professional. He takes his time on every cut which proves to me he values each and every client while striving to do his best. Merlin is very professional. Also, he is a laid back cool cat so I never feel as if I have to have the same generic conversations I've experienced in other salons. No one is better than Merlin when it comes to hair. Like so many others, I have been going to him for years because once you've experienced his work, you keep coming back. He is always ahead of the game with the hair trends and techniques but never pushes you to do anything you aren't comfortable with. Merlin is a master colorist and hair stylist, and a great guy! He uses innovative techniques to give me the color I want, without destroying my hair. I have baby fine auburn brown hair with a bunch of grey, which I hate! Merlin gives me beautiful highlights and lowlights without damaging my fine hair.
