My car has been at the tow yard because they're responsible for my car being towed all documents on my car are legal and up to date !! apparently my car was towed for expired tag but my tag isn't expired my decal was stolen !! MMG took over my apartment complex the week after we moved in. After emailing and calling through contact information provided by the previous management company, MMG took 3 months to "respond" (Moved in May, didn't hear from them til the end of August.) By that I mean a woman showed up on the property at 8:30 am demanding a money order, despite revealing that they did not know our unit was occupied/did not have a key/a copy of the lease. We asked for the online portal to be correctly set up for us to pay rent there, as a woman who arrived in an unmarked vehicle in plain clothes would not be receiving a check for several thousand dollars from me. Trying to get this accomplished led to me having my calls redirected multiple times and being repeatedly told "I can't fix this but ____ can."Desperate for help, I began looking for company contact information on Google, where by some insane plot twist, I managed to call an ex-Executive who told me "I escaped that heII hole years ago." After being promised that the portal issue would be resolved shortly, we paid a money order to resolve the owed balance. Once the portal was fixed, there were back charges of already paid rent and added late fees that we were told would be removed. By this point, there had been 2 internal transitions in property managers, which you could only figure out by calling incessantly. By October, the incorrect balance was still on the account, resulting in us having to drive 40 minutes round trip to take the check to an office at another apartment complex. The website only allows for the entire balance to be paid, and the late fees made the balance incorrect. Sometime between January and March, after another transfer of property managers, we were told that we would have to pay the $1,000 worth of late fees that had accumulated at the fault of MMG, because we did not have a signed, dated, physical copy of us being told they would be removed. Additionally in March, MMG lost the management position at the other complex we had been paying rent at, making their closest property over an HOUR round trip and in a DIFFERENT STATE. We were given no contact information when this change occurred. With absolutely no idea where to send a notice of vacancy for the approaching end of our lease, we called 10+ times during business hours trying to get a hold of someone. In the end, we moved out and mailed our key to the out of state office. A month after moving out, yet another new property manager calls to ask us to pay rent. After learning we left, she demands proof of our notice, which we did not have, resulting in us paying these slumlords another $2,000 for no reason. If these people don't give you enough of a reason to not rent with them, the apartments are also in extreme disrepair, loose outlets, gaps in doorframes, missing trim, mold everywhere, rotting balconies, roach infestations, no lawn or pest care, and constantly overflowing trashcans. read more

I was introduced to Meridian Management Group when the apartment Complex I was renting was sold and the new owner hired them. They are hands down one of the worst companies I have ever been forced to deal with. Every month they would attempt to extort extra money out of me by saying I paid my rent late when it was on time. They would send me emails and letters harassing me for late fees that I didn't owe. After the first time it happened I started sending my checks by registered mail. Then after a few months I went up to their office to speak to someone about the accruing fees. Initially they tried to collect on the late fees until I showed my mail receipts with the dates of delivery. How quick they were to change their story and called these fees "errors". The other issue was how the building was maintained or should I say the lack thereof. You couldn't beg this company to fix anything. My unit had gorgeous wood floors that were ruined due to a leak in the sliding glass door that Meridian Management Group would not fix. The leak was so bad by the time I left water was coming in through the wall, the frame was molding and the floors were buckling. We contracted with Meridian to oversee 2 properties and they are the WORST management company in the business. Three account managers in 12 months, always an excuse. They hid bills for basic services like water, trash removal, and electric leading to payables b. The missed paying property taxes!!! how do you miss property taxes!!! Their accounting reports are worst than useless. They quoted their management fee and then charged us for the account reps phone, internet usage, geek squad technical support and we even paid for lamps and light bulbs in THEIR office. We paid them for Maintenance and would close tickets without doing the work... The ONLY thing they did well is nickel and dime tenants and take rent payments to pay themselves....in fact, they never missed their payments and were always paid first. We lost significant income due to mismanagement and tenants believed it was the owners fault... which is was because we used Meridian... absolutely terrible!!! read more

I live in an apartment complex that's been "managed" (into the ground) by Meridian since late 2017. At first I wasn't happy about the change since JAMCO, the previous management company, was actually pretty decent overall. The grounds were always clean, maintenance was responsive, the leasing office was consistently open, and they seemed to do a good job in screening tenants. At first, they didn't even let any of the residents know about the change until at least a month after it had taken place. That should've told me not to renew my lease, but hindsight is 20/20. I asked if my rent would go up and was told it wouldn't. Then a few days prior to when it was time to renew and too late to find another place in a timely manner, I got a notice on the door saying the rent would be an extra $50 if I decided to renew. A trip to the leasing office fixed that. Since the change, maintenance requests now take forever to get done. There's been a stain from a water leak from the attic or roof on the living room ceiling of my unit for about two months. There's also another leak from the attic or roof in the closet for the water heater. As soon as I noticed them, I notified the leasing office. No one actually showed up until several weeks passed and all he did was look at them and tell me they'd get roofers out to fix the roof and then come in to paint, which was the same thing I'd been told when I initially notified the office. That was at least a month ago. The last straw that drove me to write this review was today, when I got woken up at 5 am by someone in a unit below mine. They were slamming doors so hard it made my bed vibrate. This happened so many times I lost count while I was trying to go back to sleep. This isn't the first time this has happened and multiple complaints have been filled about these people. This afternoon, I got to enjoy more of their drama and door-slamming and decided to call the leasing office to file yet another complaint. The line was busy both times I called. Since it was 4:15 and the leasing office is (supposedly) open until 5 pm on Saturdays, I decided to walk there, only to find it closed. This is not the first time this has happened; on days when I've gotten home a little earlier than usual (around 5 or 5:30), the office is usually closed despite 6 pm being the posted closing time on weekdays. If you're considering renting an apartment, house, or even doghouse from these jokers, do yourself a favor and RUN. LIARS & CHEATERS. My experience with Meridian was extremely unfair. I viewed the apartment and was told to submit my application. After submitting my rental verification and income, both of which have always been above good standing, I was told they'd get back to me ASAP. That never happened. I followed up multiple times without an answer. Finally 6 days days later I was told they could not get in touch with my landlord or employer, and they had rented the place out to someone else. If there was better communication this all could have been avoided. There is no recourse I can take aside from waving a red flag for the public; it is truly HORRIBLE business on their end. This community had me come out with my food truck for a catered event to serve their residents. Nicole Wiggins the person who booked my truck paid the initial deposit to reserve the truck. After serving the residents as well as staying an additional hour because she confused the times, she promise to have the final payment made to my company. It has now been over 3 weeks and she has not made payment. Her first excuse was that her boss dog died. So I waited a few days. When I called back the next excuse was that her boss had recently lost a family member. I gave it a few more days going into the next week. Every time I've spoke with her it was supposed to be taken care of the he gave day. I let her know that late fees will be added if the payment has not been made. She now is not responding to text, email or answering her phone. I am a small business and her company had now taking away from my business. I moved out of my apartment on Christmas eve of 2017. I had to fight Meridian for six months to get my deposit back, mind you there was a walkthrough checklist that I had the apartment manager sign at the time of the walkthrough I signed it as well. Fast forward to February of 2019 the manager of the meridian apartment wanted me to move into another apartment complex, that she manages so I found out that on my credit report they put I was evicted Also, they have had to put credits to my account numerous times for overpaying rent and the manager of the meridian apartment is ready and willing to give me a sworn statement for court. I was a tenant under Meridian Management Group and they were a terrible company. I am mainly writing this review for any owners that are thinking about using their services. The first point of contention I had with Meridian Management Group was on the first day we moved into the condo. Meridian provided us with two condo keys, two gate keys, two pool keys and two mailbox keys. Only problem was that the keys they gave us weren't even to the pool or mailbox. We had to purchase new keys from HOA and have them send through USPS. So, the condo owner lost money because they did not collect and test keys given by previous tenant. Second, the property manager was still painting our unit on the day we moved in. They poured paint down the sink, spilled it on the floor and it dripped on appliances and never cleaned any of it up. The paint they used was so cheap that it literally started running down the walls in the kitchen and bathroom. When I complained and sent pictures, it took over 6 months to have someone come out. The painter just used the same paint to cover up the spots and said that was all he could do. Needless to say, the paint ran down the walls again. Once, I came home and the washing machine that came with the unit had drained on the floor. I called the management company and I got up the excess water. No representative ever came out and the laminate floor in the adjacent hallway bowed and warped. When I was preparing to move out, I had to request a move out inspection 6 times over 2 months before one was finally scheduled at the end of the lease. When the representative arrived, he forgot the move-out checklist. Instead, he briefly looked at the condo and said he would be in touch. I asked for a report and signature stating that no damages would be assessed. He signed a piece of scrap paper he found in his car. I asked a neighbor to witness, because this was so preposterous. Don't even get me started on trying to obtain the security deposit. If you are looking for a good company to look after your property as if it was their own, look elsewhere. Even the realtor for the owner, who was selling the unit at the end of lease, agreed that it was an extremely unprofessional company that kept giving her the wrong contact information to get in touch with me. Worst part was they argued with me over all these points, but I had pictures, emails, receipts and signatures as proof. Description of Complaint: On 10/31/16 the residents of a group of about 50+ Townhomes located at 400 White Ingram Parkway in Dallas, GA received on our doors that MERIDIAN MANAGEMENT GROUP had taken over management of our community. The contact is Leslie Graham. 7 Days later on November 7th I left a message for Ms. Leslie Graham indicating there were some problems with illegal parked cars in and around my building. The problem is as a single person living in 1 unit I have 1 car and I would like to park it close to my unit since I come home sometime late at night. One of the units 2 doors down from me has a car that isn't even registered and has not moved since August. Weeds are growing under it. These people have 2-3 cars and park in front of there unit. Now 2 doors down the other side there is a car that hasn't moved in over 6 weeks. And then another door down they have 1 car and 2 trucks and park in front of there unit. Making it near impossible to park near my unit. Another 7 Days later on November 14th I visited the office and personal spoke to Leslie Graham and she told me she had been so busy and had not even checked her messages since there was so much to do in the change of management for the property. I told her which cars, which units they belonged too and she assured me she would take care of it. Another 7 Days later on November 21st I called and spoke to Leslie and she again lied and told me the situation would be taken care of that week. Another 7 Days later on November 28th I again called her and she lied again telling me that the management company had selected a company to take care of the situation and she was meeting them later that day (Monday November 28th) to resolve the issue. Of course as I write this....the problem has not been resolved. I also shared with her when the management company changed, the streetlights were turned off and it is quite dark throughout the complex. Also usually during the first week of the month the pest control would come spray for bugs. Not the case now. I would like these cars removed. In reading my lease it states unauthorized automobiles not allowed and will be towed at owner expense. It also states cars must be registered. I believe residents should be respectful and be sent a notice asking them to park just 1 of there cars in front of there unit and additional cars should be parked elsewhere on the property.
