It was hot out, but then the ac in the stores were helpful. They have a forever 21, lululemon, banana republic, pottery barn, sephora, gap, game stop, victoria's secret, bath and body works, loft, express, american eagle, dick's sporting goods, pandora, and many more stores. There is few hotels nearby, I stayed at the Hyatt directly behind all the stores. There are super stores nearby - Walmart and Sam's Club. There are quite a lot of food options. I ended up trying out quite a few really good ones. They have Bravo Cucina Italiana - a nice italian restaurant. They have Boston's restaurant nearby if you want a more sports bar vibe. Champps is a great bar as well - they have a few food options with alcohol in it (even dessert). I did not try Capital Prime as I dislike seafood but I heard great things from others. If you are into fast food they have a culver's too. There are many other options that I did not get to try out, but it is worth checking out reviews. Overall, we had a good time walking around. They had music playing one night when we went to Bravo. Everyone had their own lawn chairs too. People were laughing and smiling. Many were seated outdoors to eat and get a view of the fun. They're very friendly, professional, polite, and forthcoming. I have always gone to an optometrist in my hometown of Holland, MI, but when I was in need to fresh contacts I decided to look for something local. Dr. Thompson's outstanding credentials were the deciding factor for me. Everything went along very smoothly and my prescription arrived quickly. Whilst fitting my glasses (which I didn't even purchase there), some damage was caused to my anti-scratch coating, purely an accident. However Dr. Thompson was very honest and understanding and replaced both lenses in my glasses at no cost to me. The only downside to Thompson Eyecare is one that I've found at many optometrists: a small selection of glasses frames. That kind of responsible, honest service is rare in businesses these days. They even gave me the student discount on my exam, even though I admitted to no longer being a student. I'm always happy to support a local business trying to make an honest living, but when you find such a business that treats you right, you stick with 'em, which I am sure do to with Thompson Eyecare. I had trouble seeing, blurred vision, and headaches as if my eyes were working overtime to correct my vision, and it turned out that I was lied to and deceived by Walmart Vision Center because my contact prescription was -4.00 but my glasses were -4.75! Because of this, I now have a stigmatism, and I need to actively work to help reduce the eye strain and stress that resulted from this awful mistake that they made. I looked through my receipt, and my glasses were SUPPOSED to be the right prescription! They even had me stay an extra 45 MINUTES to "TEST" my glasses to confirm that they were the correct prescription. DO NOT GO HERE I can't believe that I spent over $900 AFTER INSURANCE for something that caused me so much pain and strain!
