There were lots of promises made…read moreabout closing dates at the beginning (promises that other mortgage companies could not make so we ended up going with Haus) just to have them say at the last minute that they had to change our closing date. Also lots of hidden fees everywhere. We had to fight tooth and nail to get a lower interest rate when they initially told us that they were giving us the best rate available. Sam and his team were very dishonest and opaque about the whole mortgage process and it made the purchase of our home a very stressful one. Look elsewhere at all costs unless you feel equipped to read between the lines at all stages of the mortgaging process and don't mind being lied to repeatedly.

Secondly, we have always dealt with our credit union but on the suggestion of some of our good friends we decided to give TTM a try. Never, ever again. It started out well, Patrick Bola was wonderful... then our case went to Amy. That's when everything went downhill. Non responsive, unprofessional, just a rotten experience. We literally scanned what seemed thousands of pages of info to her, for her to request them again. It was almost as if our time was not her concern. We did ALL of the leg work for her to just push the papers onto the next. There is so much more to our grievances but on the DAY OF OUR CLOSING, she still couldn't give us a correct total needed. An hour before the closing, on a Friday off to the bank we go for the check. I mean, come on. People work. We all have full time jobs... it was bad enough I had to take time off previously to do the leg work for them earlier. Horrible. Finally closed, the concessions we had requested weren't even in the financing. Too late now. Anyways, save yourselves headaches, time, and over all heartburn and please go to your bank/credit union that you normally do business with.
