I did a wine tasting here and I was really impressed with how knowledgable Zack the owner was not only about wine and the different types, but the different regions around the world and the grapes that go into making a wine taste like it does. He also taught us about oak barrels and how that imparts flavor. And finally he shared some of the history of the area which was fun. Definitely go here if you need some wine, liquor or beer!

He shared that Flyleaf was hosting a Boy Band event with great music playing and lots of patrons taking advantage of their Sunday Brunch offerings. It was very festive and standing room only at the moment. They host various theme events every month. Although I have included the menu, their food offerings change too. They had a great book selection. I was impressed that they had four books featured that I recently purchased. I look forward to returning to kick back with a book on their patio with a pastry or two.

I started with the Toucan Sam drink which was the only rum drink on their menu of specialty cocktails. It's a really good drink that is slightly bitter due to the campari and toasted almond bitters. For food, I was craving a burger but I visited on the wrong day. I chose the Thai style wings and a carne asada taco. Wings - the wings were decent but I got tired of eating them after the first 2. The thai peppers that it came with were not very spicy at all. The meat was also a little challenging to get off the bones for some reason. Taco - I enjoyed this better than the wings, even though this was smaller. Service was decent but not perfect. I was already ready to leave and then they asked if I wanted another drink. They were about 5 mins late since the bar area wasn't actively manned during a majority of my visit.
