Set with free to air and Foxtel sport channels it kept the kids happy (child and hubby). We ordered the ribs that were on a 1/2 price special and they were amazing, and as we each ordered different sauces it led to a friendly argument about who's was better. We followed that up with the dessert platter which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The service couldn't be faulted, food came out in good time, drinks were served immediately after ordering, and staff were constantly making sure we were happy and not in need of anything. We have since returned twice and become members in order to make good use of their happy hour while dining (jar cocktails are $8.90 for members, $12.90 full price) the ribs special is a regular Monday thing and they have other specials throughout the week eg steak night, Parma night, burger night, $1 ribs ect. Value for money is pretty reasonable, but fantastic if you take up the specials on offer. For 3 servings of 1/2 priced ribs, a dessert platter, a jug of cider, a soft drink and ice cream spider it cost us $90

I think I was in charge of lunch arrangements and did a terrible job of it. In fact, we showed up here around 1pm for lunch for 8 adults and 3 kids with no reservations - I'm glad they were able to accommodate us as I had no real backup plan (I blame jetlag). They seated us in the outdoor area which is undercover and was just perfect for us as the kids were able to run wild without bothering anyone else. It's a really good set up, and even though it was a pretty hot day it wasn't too hot out there. The food was really good and even though we were off in our own area, service was pretty decent. I'd definitely head back to this pub for another meal next time we're in town - it's got a lovely park over the road for kids, and is right near the beach. Just perfect.

This quaint little pub has a great open air feeling and with some fabulous views. This is a sit anywhere type place. We managed to find a seat right at the windows and decided to grab a pizza. Tracking down a server was a bit of a challenge, but instead I just went directly to the bar and ordered, Easy-peasy. The pizza was out shortly and was fresh and hot. Beer was cold, pizza was great and the views were fantastic. Overall, great spot, good food and cold beer. Atmosphere was chill and some good tunes playing. Servers were in a bit of short supply, but when we did get one they were super friendly. Great spot to have a drink and enjoy the views.

Decided to try the bistro instead and got my friend to meet me there. Beautiful location, right by the water with the sun going down. The staff were young, teens to early twenties, and mostly friendly and welcoming. I ordered the salmon, it came out on a plate with a huge pile of chips. For the price I was expecting something much better. I basically paid a fancy restaurant price for pub food. The salad came later which was not even worth eating, the dressing was sugary and the leaves wilted. They could definitely lift their game food wise. It's a good place to sit by the water and have drinks, don't expect too much from the menu though.

Cardinia Park Hotel, Friday dinner 11/03/16…read more The hotel was recently renovated making the car parking open and well illuminated especially later at night. The new entry to the bistro has a good solid flat path for easy access, some garden beds on the side leading to the double glass doors. The dining room is well illuminated by the over head lighting filtering all over. The chairs are slightly low but they have a high back which gives them a solid stance in the room. We sat near the open fire place which would be great on a winter night. We noted the bar attendants are higher than the dining room floor, which assists them in placing the drinks on the bar for the waiters but there are bulkheads which have been placed just over the bar area that on their own look good but, the bar attendant are constantly working around them or nearly hitting their head on them constantly. The waiters were busy and at tentative without being over bearing. Our meals were delivered all together and within a reasonable amount of time. The presentation of our meals was very good with good flavors expresses in all the meals on the table for our group. The dining room can be closed off with removable walls which would make for a very usable space closing off an area for a group or function I first ordered a Beer which as soon as it was poured into the glass went flat suggesting a chlorinated detergent in the glass washer, this is very disappointing for anyone who appreciates beer or wine and the chlorine will contaminate the glass then the beverage. Stepping back and looking at the whole experience we will return as this bistro could well fit into any of the inner eastern city areas and then give the local hotel & bistro establishment in that area a good run for their money.
