Barista (nice lady!) is friendly in a non-overly chatty sort of way (which is great when you're not caffeinated in the morning), just amazing. My favorite are the blondies - chewy, crumbly, and not too sweet if paired with a black coffee. Bloomsbury Coffee House is actually downstairs, below street level. There is probably two tables in the outdoor downstairs. There is more seating indoors that spans two rooms. Overall, how would I describe the ambiance? Sweet and cozy. Perfect for discussing schoolwork over a cuppa.

First, the coffee. My espresso was wonderfully dark and strong while maintaining a smooth flavoursome overall profile in a machiatto which, for once, did not come served with far too much milk. At the moment they are using a home machine while they get themselves set up but that has not impacted the quality of brew. A proper machine should arrive next week. Second, the staff. Super friendly and helpful - I was given recommendations for places to visit in Leeds (my second home) and are generally good natured and a pleasure to talk to. Third, the location. Just outside the north side of King's Cross. Just to spot for a quick post/pre train journey brew. In short. Pretty much perfect.

The service was uninviting and surprisingly rude when we asked about the coffee roast and the morning special- buy a pastry and receive a cold brew. One small example, I had already ordered a pastry but the main hostess denied that I should receive a free cold brew. The main issue though was "tone" and "unfriendliness". The espresso and pastry were good, not great. As we know, customer experience is everything and Redemption missed by not understanding that.

Paired with the cheese (clotted cream) and it was a home run. Loved the lightly charred tomato, I added a little salt to them. Notably, the avocado with pomegranate was such a fresh and vibrant bite!
