She is not a one size fits all diagnosis kind of clinician. She pays attention to what you look like, and mannerism as much as she does what you say. This is huge because as a patient, I don't always know how to articulate what is going with my emotions. After, every appointment, I feel heard and I know what my treatment plan is.

I came to Main West after spending 3 weeks in the hospital. The staff were kind and attentive. I…read morewasn't in the best place mentally being depressed and being in a lot of pain. I appreciated the CNA's and nurses coming in to check on me constantly. I was able to get door dash when the food wasn't edible and the visiting hours were great. Pro's: Definitely the nurses. I had extremely sensitive issues and they did a wonderful job taking care of them. The place was constantly being cleaned and the cleaning staff was also nice and thoughtful. Con's: The biggest issue I ran into the 3 weeks I was there was a lack of English speaking and understanding by the CNA's. There were times I had to point to things or just give up and say no because they couldn't comprehend basic English. I even asked them to get another person to help me a few times. The next con has to be the food. At times it wasn't edible no matter how hungry I was. With antibiotics wrecking my stomach as it was and there being a gap of 14 hours between dinner and breakfast the next morning I had to get a Walmart order of snacks and drinks to make up for the terrible meals. Sometimes the food was descent but the portion wasn't enough for a 10 year old. Other times the combinations made no sense, I brought receipts (see the pictures). Yes I went hard on the food with the hope that they will do something about it for future clients. I showed one of those pictures to my case worker and I asked her to just try the food for herself and she would know my pain :) All that being said I am now home and on my way to a full healthy recovery and much of that is thanks to Main West. This place was relatively close to home, easily accessible for my family and friends to visit and they have helped give me my life back. Aside from the communication issues and food I would recommend this place to anyone in need of great caring nurses and overall attentive staff. Thank you to everyone at West Main. I'm home writing Yelp reviews and not in pain or stuck in bed thanks to you. I will never forget what you did for me. Sincerely, Mr. Michael

My interactions with the staff were productive and pleasant as they were helpful when answering questions. While there, my grandmother felt well taken care of by her nurse staff. I have had the absolute best experience with Marla!…read more I started seeing Marla back in early 2016 (I think?) when I was experiencing many emotional repercussions of not processing my feelings appropriately. I was very quiet and apprehensive during our first session because of how afraid I was to open up and be vulnerable, but that quickly changed when I realized how safe and comfortable I felt within our first two sessions. Marla follows a Cognitive Behavioral therapy approach and is very well-versed in the works of Dr. David Burns and Dr. Brene Brown. She is welcoming, empathetic, very engaged in therapy sessions and is excited to see you grow. I have learned so much about managing my emotions, tackling past traumas and being the most authentic version of myself. I feel that my therapy with Marla has encouraged me to jump outside of my comfort zone, where I have found opportunities I never would have thought existed. Through personalized talk therapy and various "homework" assignments between sessions, I have been able to discover so much about myself and really tap into my strengths. I am now very self-aware and strive to explore things that intimidate me with new curiosities. I now have a strong sense of self-appreciation and growing confidence, and I am much more comfortable recognizing my flaws, confronting my shame and initiating shame resilience. Through my time in therapy, I have even discovered my passion for helping others help themselves, and am now pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology! My sessions with Marla so far have truly changed my life, and I forever grateful to have her help! ***Disclaimer: I chose to be very involved and hands-on with my therapy, and have achieved great results because of my dedication. If you do not actively participate and expect a therapist to "fix" you, you will never get what you are looking for.***

I recently had my initial visit to Dr.Fu's office and it went great. The nurse practitioner that…read moreworks there made me feel comfortable and confident that we will figure out the causes of the concerns I have as well as find a solution. I was not seen by the doctor himself, but the NP was truly wonderful. She introduced me to the doctor, and he seemed kind from our brief introduction. My only concern that I have is the level of professionalism with the front desk staff. They are all very young and it is great that they are getting started in healthcare right away. However, I am a nurse and one of the most important things taught to healthcare providers is maintaining patient confidentiality. Unfortunately, the front office staff provided incorrect contact information to someone I am assuming they are contracted with. This company then contacted me to discuss my health plan at my place of work. They never attempted to reach me with my personal contact information provided. This is highly unprofessional and inappropriate. I never consented to being contacted at work and it made me extremely uncomfortable. When I called to speak to a supervisor, I was told that there wasn't a supervisor in the office and that I would receive a call back. The following day I received a call from the front desk staff stating the doctor wanted to discuss this matter with me in person at his office. After informing the staff that I live an hour and a phone call is sufficient for me, the front desk staff just repeated that the doctor wants to see me in person. I do not feel that I should be responsible for a 3 hour round trip commute because they made a mistake. Overall, I feel that if a company makes a mistake, they should address that mistake with compassion and understanding. I may be very upset about this situation, but I am also a nurse, and I get that accidents happen. If this office apologized and made time to speak with me I would not have gone as far as writing a review, but instead they made this difficult. The staff there need to learn from this and ensure that they hold themselves to a higher standard of maintaining patient privacy.
