If you can get over the fact that parking is a nightmare (tip: get there early and use the free parking lot at the DMV) you'll love every second of your time here. We got there around 9:30am and were lucky enough to snag a spot at the aforementioned lot - about a 5 minute walk from the start of the market. From there, we took about 2 hours to fully explore, including a quick stop at a cute and affordably-priced vintage stop right off the vendors' booths. There is a huge variety of goods, mostly consumables with a few jewelry and handmade goods worked in. The vast majority of consumables booths had samples. I tried balsamic vinegars, loads of dips, some fresh fruit and tomatoes, bread, tempeh, you name it. I wasn't even hungry for lunch after going! If you aren't keen on samples, there are lots of prepared food booths for a full meal. Prices are reasonable. I bought a delicious Mediterranean 3 layer dip for $6 and my brother got a massive focaccia loaf for $10. The vendors were very friendly and helpful. Many (most?) also had business cards with shipping info if you're like me and have a full suitcase already. I would consider this market a must-visit if you find yourself in San Diego on a Sunday. Loved it!

Pros: -I love the variety of food vendors that they have here. There were also vegan options available. -there is a shaded seating area that has picnic benches but people also brought out blankets to enjoy the day -some live music was available when I stopped by Cons: -parking can be a bit difficult and since this is in a residential neighborhood, you need to be careful of where you park. It I was able to get street parking not too far away Overall, a delightful farmers market!

Everyone had a bottle and rightfully so, super nutritious and delicous - this farmers market is at a elementary school which is great -parking can be tough but we had parked in downtown Encinitas and just walked over (about 20 minutes)

I recommend the "Full Belly Bbq" the moink is awesome, "Suerte" for coffeee and refreshers, and "BomBom" for sweets but surprisingly they're not overly sweet like how some donuts are which is a bonus for me !

The earlier visit was definitely less crowded, but both times were totally manageable and enjoyable. The vibes are fantastic, and it's right near a park where you can sit, relax, and enjoy whatever treats you pick up. There's a great mix of vendors and everything feels well curated. Some favorites were Chaupain and their yogurt cart, Saigon Coffee, Down to Ferment Hot Sauce, and Gold Coast Mede. Lots of great tasting experiences and super friendly vendors who are happy to chat. Parking nearby was easy too, which is always a plus. Highly recommend making this part of your Saturday routine.

It has several vendors, but they are too tightly crammed together, and the narrow gap to walk past them is way too small. People bring giant strollers that fit 2-4 kids and they take up the whole walkway. The whole thing is a giant cluster and whoever came up with the logistics needs to be reassigned. There are a mix of vendors selling items, making food (breakfast lunch), chiropractors, cookie companies, salsa companies, etc. OF course there are some farmers with their fruits and veggies and there are also people selling fresh fish. There are some good options if you can find parking, deal with the chaos and crowd, and the train bells. I know it is on Saturdays from like 8 am - 2 pm, but I am not sure if it is every weekend or just certain weekends.

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

Stars off for parking and crowds, but we lucked out on great parking and were on the way out when things were getting peak crazy. Now - all my treasures. There was a bread guy. Great breads. Focaccia. Banana bread. Sourdough. Looked beautiful, but unassuming. The deliciousness level - wow! Broccolini, squash, carrots, celery, onion. Then, the berries! Look and try. You'll know the ones you want. Oceanside? Carlsbad? I am on strike as of now and will be hard pressed to make due with a Driscolls berry. Oh - and this magical little orange. I should have bought 5 pounds. I drank fresh OJ while we were there. 11/10. I'm so happy that after an awesome vacation of vacation dates and treats we get to keep it going with some lighter meals. I made tuna salad with celery and onions. Well have grilled veg with dinner. Magical berries all day. The special grilled cheese with gruyere, honey, mustard and all the other little meals il weave my Ja Jolla open air marked finds - incredible. Then, all the things I didn't buy because they wouldn't have survived in the car. Salad. Flowers. Tomatoes. All beautiful.
