I'm definitely what you can call a n00b when it comes to watching plays and musicals. I don't often go out to venture in these sorts of activities... unless there are free tickets of course. I know, you're thinking, what a shameless plebeian?
I usually am here at the Meralco compound for work matters, but it actually feels nice to be here for non work-related reasons. I was given free tickets to the musical version of Addams Family, which brings me to the theater. It's all fancy schmancy, with carpeted floors and grand-looking doorways, posh lounge areas and pricey snack bars. It's nice, well at least for me it is (take note: i r n00b).
This venue felt very fitting for the nature of the musical. It required an orchestra, and the acoustics of the venue really do the live music the justice it deserves. The whole venue isn't too big or too small, so it still feels a bit intimate. The seats were comfortable, the stage seems ample enough in size and accommodates the beautiful production and stage design.
In the words of Goldilocks, you could say that everything at Meralco Theater was "just right". read more
