The atmosphere is definitely a vibe--chill and social. Music starts up later in the evening (around 9 PM, I believe), which helps transition the mood as night falls. We visited fairly early and enjoyed the shift when the music began. However, one interaction notably dampened the experience. A brief, joking conversation with a bouncer took an unexpectedly dark turn. When I lightheartedly asked if anyone had ever tripped on the spiral staircase, he replied, "Only if I throw them off." Joking or not, for someone responsible for patron safety, this felt in poor taste and sounds like he wants to look or sound intimidating. It's a remark that unfortunately sticks with you. And it was of bad taste. Overall, Z Roof Deck has much to offer in terms of views and ambiance, but attention to staff training and customer interaction would elevate it from a good spot to a great one. 2 star from poor choice of words from the security at the roof deck. You want to be funny? Tell a better wholesome joke.

Maison, a separate shopping destination located within the SM Mall of Asia complex, specifically the first two floors of the Conrad Manila Hotel, we walked through a brightly lit, pristine looking mall to the rock 'n' roll-themed restaurant & bar. Entrance to the venue brought us immediately to the gift shop, then to the eatery with a high-energy vibe. The entire area was very clean and tidy on the evening of our visit. Arriving around 7:15PM, we were seated right away to a front row table from the stage. We paid a ₱395 cover charge per person since we arrived after 7PM, but the fee was inclusive of a beverage. Mom ordered the APPLETINI (₱475 if not covered in the entrance fee) which was too sour for her liking and I had the STRAWBERRY LEMONADE DAIQUIRI (₱455 if not included in the cover charge) which I found to be too sweet. Hard Rock Cafe serves burgers & American classics, but this Manila location also has some Asian food offerings. I was delighted to be served a free small bowl of kropek (fried shrimp crackers) upon seating. We also ordered the ALL-AMERICAN CHEESEBURGER FLATBREAD (₱695) for the four of us to snack on while watching the show, not bad. WENDY'S PROJECT and HYPERBEAT were the live bands that performed. Again, not bad, but not the best. During the show and even while the DJ was playing, they had a young guy leading everyone to follow his dance moves. It was almost like watching an aerobic dance class. Those who participated seemed to have a ball. I guess that is what makes Hard Rock Cafe Manila different from others, at least compared to those in the United States. It definitely helped to liven up the dance floor. Would I return? Only if Tita Loida wants to, otherwise, most likely no...because I would prefer to do something more traditionally Filipino rather than American while in the Philippines.

We were celebrating a birthday and from the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make the experience feel special. They were warm, attentive, and genuinely happy to help -- the kind of service that really sticks with you. I ordered the Truffle Mushroom Pasta and it was delicious -- rich, creamy, and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of truffle flavor. It's definitely a standout dish that I'd come back for. The whole vibe of the place was upbeat and energetic, with great music, cool rock memorabilia, and a lively yet comfortable setting. Being inside S Maison at Conrad Manila adds to the experience -- classy, convenient, and with beautiful surroundings. If you're looking for a place to celebrate, grab a great meal, or just enjoy the Hard Rock vibe with top-tier service, this is the spot. We'll definitely be back!

It's like the space suddenly got a job promotion and now caters to superstars. Or whoever. MOA Concert Grounds is as open as it can get; if it weren't for the walls covering the area, that is. I'm assuming it's for protection. Now, I've been here numerous times already, but my favorite visit was during MAD Fest, where Kimbra (OMG KIMBRA. I AM SUCH A HUGE FAN?) performed. You see, we've already given up on the thought of her coming here to sing, and then the announcement came. Imagine our ecstasy. A strong local musician lineup opened for her, and it would've been perfect if I didn't have to stand for 7 hours (we were protecting our suuuuper front-row pwesto). I've developed some bias towards MOA Concert Ground so if a concert is being played here, I have a stronger likelihood of going. We like covering and reviewing live acts, after all.

Since we had dinner already at home we only ordered a plate of nachos and two bottles of beer (total bill was only Php350. They don't charge an entrance fee). We were disappointed with the nachos because it was served late and cold. We should have ordered the sizzling tofu instead. Anyway, it's a good thing the band playing that evening, Jek Manuel and The Stronghold, was good. We really enjoyed the group's performance. I like the place because it's separated from the crowded and smokey part of the Metrowalk. I don't like their chairs though, very uncomfortable. Seeing its walls lined with pictures of famous artists who performed there, one would instantly realize how many stars have graced the stage of The Music Hall. During my visit, I witnessed a concert where Philippine music legends Boy Mondragon and Richard Merk performed songs that made them famous. (Yes, not my generation, but it was a fun, entertaining, impressive show nonetheless.) All that while enjoying a smooth Daiquiri with Calamares, Drunken Shrimp, and Sizzling Tofu. With the cool air-conditioning and the live bands and groups like the FBC "Rebirth" and the L & S Femme stoking up the crowd's enthusiasm and letting them sing along to the hits of yesterday and today, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I'm sure you will too. Just check their schedule which is packed with events featuring artists from then and now.
