I'm not much of a drinker, but my Basil Honey drink wasn't that bad (3.5/5 stars). No mini munchies were given to us, and perhaps it was because we didn't come at an earlier time. I think what gave this place a 4 opposed to 3 stars, is the free WIFI. You know I need to be wifi-ing because I'm not gonna pay for an international data plan. Plenty of seating, a wide variety of European newspapers, food and a full bar service await. It definitely beats No.1 lounge in Gatwick which is crazy busy and full of kids. I get the impression that the Piedmonte lounge is only for those with Business class tickets or relevant level airline loyalty cards, not pay and enter like Gatwick. Sounds snobbish but if you want peace, quiet and not to have kids running around then this is the place to come before your flight. Clean, tidy and great service then if I'm back here (hopefully business class!) then I'd happily hang out here pre-flight.
