Mephisto bar is such a cute quirky little bar, and I loved it. I went there for the album launch of 'Felix Da House Cat' and couldn't have had a more chilled out random fun night with a bunch of random people. It was great. The entrance is tiny, so watch out for it, but you then go down a lovely stair case to a real funky little room with wide low lit tables and art and projections on the walls, and a big screen playing quirky music videos at the back. There is a fabulous room behind the DJ box which is extremely plush with Egyption ornaments and big red leather couches, huge wooden doors, and stone floors and I couldn't help feeling like we should've been smoking a pipe. The DJs were sassy, the clientele a mix of relaxed, grunge and glam and the bar down the back meant you got to scope out the entire place before your focus got taken away. This little place was intimate and quirky and full of happy friendly people all out for a good time. No trying hard to impress. Definately check this groovy little place out! read more
