I made an appointment online and was sent a link for their Lookbook. It said, "Feel free to like…read moresome dresses that you want to try on, but please be considerate of your appointment time, we recommend 5-10 dresses." There was a spot to tell what you liked about each dress you selected. It seemed helpful, even if it took me a while to scroll through and make my selections. I arrived for my appointment and was asked what I was looking for and if I could show her a picture. I kind of expected a couple of dresses might have been pulled for me before my arrival, given my online selections and notes. She had me look through the store to see if there was anything I liked. I ended up not even trying anything on! I know I am super selective and had a unique color in mind, but what a waste of time! On a whim, I drove down the street to Wendy's Bridal, and I might have just found the dress!

Let's start from the beginning. 1st appointment with Kylie (who is no longer with the shop). Went…read morein and asked about a few dresses that were on line. Pretty much any samples they had in store were not my size. Ok that is fine and normal for me. I tried on a few dresses to see how they felt etc. Came back another day to place the order. I got measured and ordered the dress paying what I expected as it matched the price on the site. I also questioned the size being ordered because I have never been that big of a size before. The sales person Kylie said oh it is designer sizes and they measure different. Fast forward to the dress coming in at size 24. I could have probably fit a small person in the dress with me. The alterations seamstress was immediately stressed and measured me saying a size 18 is what I measured. They checked to see if the dress could be re-ordered and here by the time of the wedding I am in. The designer could not get the dress in time. Seamstress says that they will take the dress in for free but I will have to pay for the hemming as size does not change the length. I disagree but trying to move on because it is what it is. Then the seamstress try's to place the blame on to me saying comments about my weight. This was when I started to get upset. But just kept it to myself. Then the seamstress says that when taking it in this much I will lose the pockets that are designed to be with the dress. The pockets were a major part of the selling of the dress for me. So the seamstress gets me all pined to take in the dress and hem the dress. Go in to my next alterations appointment. I express my disappointment in the pockets being gone and a different sales associate says well Kylie is no longer with us so there is nothing we can do about it. Cool. I put on the dress and it still needs taken in. Still quite big in the bust and shoulder area. Next the seamstress comes and pins the bust area and takes up the shoulder part as it is a one shoulder dress. I come in for the next alterations appointment hoping everything would be correct and finished. It was not. There was a huge gap on the side that did not have the shoulder strap. The seamstress recommended that we take up the shoulder strap to correct the gap. I agreed because I was going with the recommendation of the professional. Next alterations appointment come in try on the dress and the gap was still there. Talking to the seamstress she began to blame me for agreeing with her to just raise the shoulder to fix the gap. I said I was agreeing with the professional recommendation. So she huffed and puffed while pinning my side once again. Next and final time alterations text was sent. I arrived tried on the dress it finally fit. I asked why they don't steam a dress before leaving their shop with their name on it. The sales associate said steaming is an additional fee. I said it it fine I will have someone else do it. The associate rang me up for the $103 ish dollars for the hemming costs. I paid and expressed that I was highly unsatisfied with the service received at this shop and that they would allow a dress out of their shop with out being steamed. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a dress shop. Between the blame of multiple things being pushed on to me the customer. Also the frustration of not bringing the dress I wanted home. No pockets, the one side the arm hole is tight and a dress that needs steamed. I have more work to do and pay for on this dress to get it how I want. Very unsatisfactory and I will not be back. I am sure I was taken advantage of on pricing but I just wanted to get some what of a dress I paid for out of this store. I just have to pay for pockets to be put back in to the dress. And somehow fix the arm hole being too tight or lose some weight according to the seamstress for the dress to fit me properly...

But then I needed an outfit, and I had no idea where to start. That's were Mya took over for me. I gave her absolutely nothing to go off of really. She asked about the event (I readily admit I was vague -- runway show with corporate mingling). I gave her my sizes. She asked what styles I liked and could wear, and my answer was anything and everything. I don't think I could have made it more difficult. Here's the impressive part. Everything she brought me I loved. EVERYTHING! Did I need a different size? She had it in no time. When I asked her what she thought, she was honest and gave great critiques. How should I wear this skirt? Mya had an answer. What color should I pair this with? Here's another top to try. All I really went in for was that pair of boots. I walked out with five skirts, two tops, three body suits, and that gorgeous pair of boots. I have never had such excellent service at any clothing store. She picked literally every piece I purchased. And I have never been that impressed and pleased with someone's taste. Mya was amazing! I am without question going back to this store again. If Mya is there, I will walk out with more than I expected and be damn pleased about it!

I absolutely LOVE Windsor and have always found dresses to fit whatever occasion I needed. However,…read moreI took my daughter there to chose a dress for homecoming and another dress for an opera she is attending for school. She fell in LOVE with one dress in particular, it was like it was made for her, she was absolutely beaming, but it was just a tad too small and we felt going up one size would be the best. They didn't have that dress in their store in the size we needed, so the sales girl checked around and another store had it. She asked if we wanted it shipped to their store, took down all my info and said she would get it ordered. 10 days later I've still heard nothing, I called and left a message after about 7 days of not hearing, no return call. So on Monday I call again and leave yet another message (and their recording says I'd get a call back within 24 hours... did not), again no return call. Finally I emailed the Toledo store directly and a few hours later I get a call. They basically admitted they never ordered the dress. In the end we had to scramble to find a dress that my daughter didn't really like, nor did it fit well, but it was the best we could do last minute. It definitely affected her confidence and how she felt that evening. She was so excited about that dress and was crushed when I told her nobody ever bothered to order it (and she ordered it from her favorite sales associate so that upset her too because they had a convo about it) I'm really disappointed because that was our "go to" store for formal/dress wear and I have daughters so it's a place we frequent a lot. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt with Windsor's serious delay in getting back to me due to homecoming season and stores being swamped, but after 2 calls that were never returned and me finally having to send an email to get a half ass apology phone call is just poor customer service. I hate that I have to leave a negative review about one of our favorite stores, but this was really a let down how it was (wasn't) handled. (Toledo, Ohio Store 39)

Custom fitted men's formal wear is the main order of the day at this retailer. And they do an excellent job fitting. Items are available for purchase as well as rental. Recently a group of my colleagues and I needed specialized formal wear with tails, known as morning coats, for purchase. while online options are of course available, it is easier to get a quality custom fit in person. And this is the place that was recommended to us. I couldn't have been happier. Within the past couple of years, I also purchased a formal white dinner jacket from Romanoffs, and I have been very pleased with that selection too. Fittings are normally by appointment, and there is of course some turnaround time to prepare alterations, once fitted. It is important to think about and build this into your event schedule if you are purchasing or renting something for an event. If you do need a fitting, or would like to visit, just give them a call. This is a very helpful, friendly place. I have always been pleased with my experiences here.
