I came late on a Sunday and Rebecca saw me even though she knew she was going to have to stay late. Gave me probably the best cut I've gotten in years and was a sweetheart to talk to. Absolutely recommend coming here, ask for Rebecca!! read more

When you sit in a barber's chair, you are hoping to find someone with the confidence to tackle the vision of a haircut of someone they've never met before. Second and also very important, it's always a bonus when you find someone with that knowledge who also has a great presence and sense for conversation. Ms. A has it all - a fantastic conversationalist and the ability to clean up a fade that the last two shops I had been to didn't get quite right. She made my day and my week better, and I am happy to have found your shop and met her. When I am back in AZ for work, I'll be looking to come back to relax and enjoy some good discussion while winding down from the days work. read more

Rebecca is amazing and My hair has never looked better! I get compliments on my haircuts all the time now thanks to her!

Rebecca doesn't cut hair well... she does so AMAZINGLY! Rebecca doesn't just cut your hair... she provides an entire experience. The convos are on another level with a positive/uplifting tone behind every word. I can't thank her enough for being everything that she is and providing a great haircut to take home with me and enjoy for the next few weeks. Rebecca is irreplaceable! read more

Excellent hair cut , would recommend going there anytime. Everyone was professional and courteous

Gina was wonderful. She listened to how I wanted my hair done and gave great input. She did exactly what I wanted. Great service and experienced hair stylist. Thank you!!!! read more

Got a haircut here last night 12/29/23 7:15pm. Worst haircut I have ever had. Other veterans out there would understand this statement "I'd rather get a haircut at the PX than to come back here again". Still tipped and paid $40 down the drain. Hair grows back whatever. Safe to say I'll still be keeping a hat on for new years til it grows back. Use them if you like but here's an honest review fellas I won't be returning. Ready for my "we're sorry" auto message already so I can go on my way lol. read more

Ari is the best!!!! I'm 60 and have never found a better place. They could use a beer draft! lol

I really appreciate her energy and her attentiveness in making sure I left happy with my haircut! I will definitely be returning thank you Ronda! read more

Men's Ultimate Grooming - First time in! The ladies are super Friendly and inviting and it's super clean - Men's Hair Salons Near Me - Gilbert, Arizona

Poor communication with customer request. Left hair on neck and face, sloppy clean up. Did a horrible job on the side fade and cut. Would never recommend this place. read more

only one person in the location. had to wait while she finished with a childs cut. once I sat down I explained 1 on the sides blended into the top and about half inch off the top. I've never had a haircut where they didn't spray my hair with water to judge length. she basically used slippers and trimmed my hair the way I had combed it. not length checking, again, no water. her name is Rebecca. she was more concerned of her Alexa speaker than anything. then she started talking about Biden and Trump. at this point I just wanted to leave so I said my hair looked fine and left. it has grown in all uneven. I have job interviews and now have to worry about a new cut. DONT GO HERE. read more

Why oh why, do I subject my son to this nonsense. We were in the area and he needed a haircut. Once again, big mistake. I have now learned that they have no skill and zero customer care. The kid cutting my sons hair took a big piece out of the side of his head. And didn't even try to correct it. The manager won't issue a refund unless I come in, what are you going to do? Glue it back on? There are many other places to go, please don't go here. It's a waste if your hard earned money, my opinion. read more

I love taking my son here. The ladies are always nice. It's a nice calm place. Stopped going to sports clips and started coming here for a while now. read more

If you want a great haircut, choose Gina! She is amazing and has tons of experience. Always gives me a great cut and is fun to talk to :)

Professional, clean, and following all of the appropriate safety procedures. Not crowded at all. Walked-in without an appointment and was promptly greeted. After 4 months or so without a cut, the mop on my head was enthusiastically welcomed by Barbetologist Kailee. We discussed what i wanted regarding cut options, length, use of product, etc. Kailee handled it all with a pleasant and engaging demeanor. The whole experience was a cut-above. Will definitely return. Thank you. read more

I've enjoyed this place in the past but it doesn't seem like they can keep staff. I'm not sure what goes on with this particular owner but there's a good amount of turn over and they don't keep the good hair cutters. I guess we'll see. read more

This was my first haircut & introduction to Natalie. I typically like to go to someone I have already had the experience of getting a haircut from, but I was lucky to get Natalie. She just moved here from out of state, and you'll discover, as I did, that she brought with her a super fun & charismatic personality... along with mad skills which I have not yet experienced anywhere else (using a razor). I received a great haircut and I enjoyed an entertaining experience in the process. Afterwards, you too will want to tip her as much as the haircut itself costs because she's worth it. Thanks, Natalie! read more

Walked in today to get my sons haircut, and they were not accommodating at all. The receptionist/ stylist said that they had "an" appt booked at 2, and couldn't take him, but there were 2 other stylist just standing around. Perhaps one of them could have taken him????? Probably so.... I asked if all 3 of them had spots at 2, she looked confused and said yes. What are the Certainly will not be returning. Ever. No thanks. We have since visited again, because the manager reached out and apologized. Commendable on his part, so we gave it another chance and had a good experience. I appreciate him. Thank you. read more

I told the woman what I wanted and she still butchered my hair. A simple blending on the sides. Don't recommend. There are better places to get a haircut. read more

My husband and 8-year old son come to this location. They do a great job! Gina is my husband's regular stylist and Phoenix is my son's. I recommend them both. The place is clean and we've never waited much if any, past our appointment time. Online scheduling is convenient as well. read more

Angela always does a great job. This place is easy to get in and out, never a long wait. If you call ahead, they actually hold your place.

The Best hair cut and service in the Gilbert area. Always clean, tv are on with sports. STAFF is A ++++. Jayme is top notch and really cares about the people that come through the door read more

This was my first time here and I had the pleasure of having Mykelti take care of me. She asked questions, listened to me, and did a great job cutting and styling my hair. She stopped several times to show me what she was doing and when all was done made sure I was 100% happy with it. I will be back! read more

Happy that I have been to this place. Stylist Vivica did a great job styling my hair and beard. She does the job quite but very professional. I would definitely recommend this place as the stylists do cut hair in a rush to get more customers. They they good time with every one and do the job right. Atleast thats what I observed sitting there for my turn. read more

I've gotten my hair cut here twice, and they did an awesome job. Just brought my son here, and Brianna did a great job as well. We got his hair cut at a different place and it was a nightmare. She made everything about the cut a fun and a learning experience for him! read more

As a fan of the more traditional scissor cut, Marissa at MUG Val Vista is the best that I've found in the East valley. Their online reservation system has always worked as planned and their new cleanliness procedures were certainly good enough for me (even including the weirdness of getting a haircut with a mask on). :-) read more

Best cut and shave ever. Alex did a seriously great job and the shave was awesome. Quick but highly efficient. I will absolutely go back again! read more

I have a specific hairstyle I like to work around and have been to every single superchain salon and none of them... NONE of them can do it the way I like it. Something is always wrong. But at the M.U.G. On Val Vista and Williams Field there is one stylist who knows what she's doing. McKenzie. Not only did she showcase her hair expertise in the haircut I got... but she also showcased her hair care knowledge in talking about how the style works. She took one look at that Pinterest picture I had and said "Yasss hunty I know what I'm doing!" Okay... so maybe not exactly those words. Overall every single aspect of my visit was perfect. From the friendly greeting at the door and the zero wait time to the very casual conversation we had while she was doing my hair. I would definitely recommend this salon/barbershop for every man of every state of being in the area. The 22 dollar price is well worth it. read more

Just a heads up, there are many employees here, from what I've seen they all do great work. With that being said, my review is particularly in regards to Jaycie H. Ok, let's get to it. I'm from Chicago, I've been to some of the best barbers- from the Northwest side to the South side. That being said, I can say for certain, Jaycie knows her stuff. She does it all; from fades to trims, to freaking ear/nose waxing-if that's your thing. What's the difference between her style of cutting hair and 95% of the other barbers back home? Patience, focus, and a passion for getting the job done right. Jaycie is a down to earth professional barber that knows her trade better than any bro that cut my hair before. If you need some haircare products they also have a bunch of haircare and other relevant products on-site. This is a confident recommendation, so if you're in the area and need a sick fade, take my word for it and book an appointment through their site (which is beyond simple to do) and look fresh again! And don't forget to tip! These ladies are coming into work doing an excellent job in one of the toughest times in this countries history, let's take care of em'! read more

Excellent cuts and personal service every time. Jayme is warm, friendly, and is really an amazingly skilled stylist. I would never go back to the quickie cut shops. What can i say about MUG on Val Vista in Gilbert... Well it's lit, fam. I went in today and got a haircut from Brianna and it was the best haircut i've ever received!! It's so clean, and versatile, and Brianna was super fun and awesome and hilarious to work with. She knew everything there was to know about hair styling, and even flexed some russian barber techniques on me. Super clean hair station, amazing service, bomb.com haircut. Today, I called to make appointments with the intention of giving them another chance. My youngest boy really likes the haircuts he has gotten and I planned to talk to the manager to make sure that what happened with my older boy as noted in my previous review did not happen again. The manager I usually work with was already gone for the day. I asked who the manager on duty was and learned that the very person who was rude to me and messed up my sons haircut last time is now the manager. It is good to know that bad service is rewarded and reinforced with promotion and increased responsibility. Sorry - Second chance blown. So one of the managers contacted me to try to make things right and I was willing to give them another chance because she was so nice. We made appointments but the appointments ended up being canceled due to the closure of salons as a result of the pandemic. Of course, no problem. This past week, I received a phone call to schedule appointments since they were opening back up. I was working at the time and they left a message asking me to call back. I called back twice. Left messages both Times and did not hear back. Today, I called for a third time. Someone answered the phone and I endeavored to make appointments. My husband and both sons all need haircuts and schedule together. They seem to know that when they left the original message. However, when I called back today, the availability is split and extremely limited to none at all. Considering the history and the fact that they reached out to me to reschedule it is troubling that they are now not available even though I responded to the initial message quickly and followed up again after no phone call. read more
