Menlo Smog - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Menlo Park, California

Smog Time - California has one of the strictest emissions controls and I truly appreciate that because we have clean air and that great water! So when it was time to get my purple baby smogged I made sure I came to MP smog! It was highly recommended. I made a same day appointment and got here and test was done in less than 15 minutes!! Salem was super professional and all went smoothly ! Great shop and certified too ! Highly recommend read more

$150 for a smog check with NO re-test if it doesn't pass! It didn't pass. Now I repair it and take it back and pay ANOTHER $150.

Sal at Menlo Smog is awesome! I went to the same really bad service, lazy guy for years (not sure why. I guess the devil you know kind of thing). I had 5 cars, now 4. When I felt disrespected when I took in my most challenging car (a 1978 where they have to do it all manually instead of just plugging it in to the computer) to him and the other guy (Arco Smog Pros on San Antonio -which I left a 1 star review for recently) made a HUGE deal about doing the work, not allowing me to wait, etc I came back home and called around. Sal answered the phone. Confirmed he does the work on old cars, gave me several appointment options. I pulled in before my appointment, he took my car at the appointment time and finished the smog check in his stated time. Sal was amazing to watch... pulling cars in and out, handling appointments, a real pro! The 1978 that I brought in to him had been sitting for more than a few years. He did not shame me, he respected my beloved old car even though I could hear the car was giving him some problems. I still have some (well a lot of) work to do on my 1978, but after I left Sal and Menlo Smog I went and got the registration up to date. It's amazing how much better a car runs if they have their stickers. I will be bringing all my cars to Menlo Smog! read more

Great service and fair prices. Sal is really nice to work with and pragmatic about repairs. We have all our cars serviced there.

They were fast and efficient but I paid almost double what other places charge. I paid for the speed and convenience. At a lower cost I would have given them 5 stars. read more

Friendly and efficient. I was provided all the details of their service. This was a great find and location accessible to my home. I would go there again. read more

Quick and reasonably priced! It costs $58 for a smog test and certificate. I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment for first thing Monday morning (9am). The test itself only takes about 20 minutes. The staff were very friendly and professional. I'll be back for future smog checks. read more

One review? How can that be? These guys are located in a prime spot, got me in fast, did the work and sent me on the road with a Yelpy discount in no time ($48 for a smog). They are a Smog Only station which means that everyone can use their services. Thanks, boys! TIP: Gas is reasonably priced too! read more

It's really funny that you'll get anyone from a mini van driver to customers from the Ferrari dealership who do smog checks here. The guy who runs the service was telling me how often the Ferraris will show up in a covered flatbed truck, he smogs em, then they get sent back (not sure if some of the customers are aware or care). I figure, cut out the middle man and just drive there. In the back of the Chevron, it's pretty non descript, but they have a full dyno facility to hook up to various ECU types. Quick, knowledeable and efficient. Not to mention, no mark up from a dealer. read more

Posted sign says smog testing from 9 to 5... Guy inside the gas station says they don't open until 9:30. I can't speak to the service, but it's not that difficult to get a new sign. read more

My experience here was fantastic! I called ahead a couple of times and the guy would let me know if it was busy or not before I came. I stopped by when there was no line and he ran the diagnostic. My car previously had a check engine light on, so he told me to drive it a bit more and come back when the system had reset itself so my car would pass. I did this, and came back a month later or so and he remembered me and quickly did the SMOG check. Really knowledgable and helpful for questions I had about the process, requirements, etc. Would definitely recommend to anyone! read more

I heard about Menlo Smog from Carlson Porsche and the experience was fabulous to say the least. I called before driving there at 11:15am and made an appt. on the same day at noon.
