Wheelset came out perfect, was lighter than I originally anticipated and the build quality is top notch. Communication was excellent through the entire process. Highly recommended.

I spent a month or so searching for some decent road bike wheels on a budget. I was mainly looking…read morefor some production wheels in and around the $300 range and had a few wheels in mind. I hadn't even thought about custom wheels until i came across some discussion on a road bike forum. Initially, I was going to buy all the wheel parts myself and then have a shop build it up locally. But after speaking to Pete (whom I came across on said bike forum), having him provide all the parts and build up the wheels came in even a tad cheaper!! It was a no brainer to go with Pete. Of course price is not the determining factor of whether you should deal with Pete or not. Pete not only has some excellent pricing for his work, but his customer service levels are next to none. We probably have an email thread going back and forth between us 15-20 times over the course of three weeks. I was initially a little hesitant about custom wheels when we first started talking. This was because I was brand new to the custom wheel world and knew next to nothing about custom wheels. But by the time i put my order in, i was 100% confident I was going to be getting exactly what I was hoping for and needing. Pete spent a lot of time answering all my questions in great detail and i couldn't have asked for anything more. When the wheels arrived, they were packed EXTREMELY well. Seeing the attention to care that went into the packaging of the wheels was quite surprising. Maybe it's because i've never had wheels shipped to me, but regardless, my wheels came out of the box in perfect condition. Flawless. As for the wheels, well, i could not be any happier with them. They came out of the box true and round as can be, and after about 500km so far (i know, not a ton of riding), they are still perfectly round and true. I will definitely be looking to work with Pete again when I look to upgrade to some higher end wheels.

After talking to the acting manager at the alley he said Chris had said it wasn't a fresh gouge. I told him to call Tony Cilllisimo at Strike More and ask what condition that same ball was in when I picked it up the day before. He said to again leave it and his boss will make the decision. I went back and told Chris that they said that he had said the gouge wasn't new, and he laughed at me and said it wasn't! Twas the first time all of us were home together since before Covid. My dad passed a few years ago and we all couldn't be home for it bc it was during Covid. So this was actually the first time all 5 of us kids were home at the same time. It's a trip that had to happen for sure. So getting the boat for an afternoon was super nice and a special day for sure. We got a pontoon boat for the afternoon. My brother and his wife rented it for 6 hours. I can't remember the exact price, I wanna say $450 for the6 hours, but don't quote me on that bc I THINK it may have been a tad more expensive. It's definitely a little pricey, but compared to their competitors, German Brothers definitely had the better price. The so-called "inconvenience" of renting from the vs the other(s) is German Bros is located out on West Lake Rd as the other is located in town...which is why I think they can get away with charging more at that place. The guys at German Bros were fantastic. Super friendly, super helpful...honestly don't have one bad thing to say about them or the business. For my first time experiencing one of these boat rental companies back home, I was definitely satisfied and even from my social media posts from that day and the days after our day on the lake, I referred like 5 people to this place and told them how much better it would be to go with them especially if they were worried about cost. You definitely save using German Brothers and these days, who isn't trying to save money any way they can? One thing to point out, you do have to pay for the gas for the boat and that cost is not included in the rental cost. You pay for the gas at the end of your time on the boat and I wanna say it's like a dollar and change more than what we'd pay at the pump ourselves. Then again, wait, haha, not sure what kind of gas these boats use haha! Just know tho, you pay separate for the gas. I recommended this to 5 different people (as mentioned already) and I'd gladly recommend to 5 more, 10 more, etc. They're a fantastic company and they deserve all the business they can get. Happy boating, yelpersailers!! Cheers!
