I don't care if schools are off they should not be reneging on their promises of $59 day pass passes. We came expecting to pay that price. I complained to at least three people. Nobody offered me any recourse. Not only that they've gone cashless which excludes people who don't have credit cards. Plus, you can only buy tickets online so there's no way around to even talk to. They have some guys wandering around a jackets that can help you process their overpriced tickets, but no booth no manager no nothing. It's icy, crappy and I'm not coming back ever. I'd rather ski somewhere else if I'm gonna pay this kind of money. If you're gonna ski a small central to Western New York mountain; keep heading west to the skiing over by Buffalo the snow but better anyway.

As a complete beginner, I was a bit of a physical hazard on the slopes - picture me sliding down the hill in sheer terror (stopped in the middle and had a panic attack), sometimes sitting (laying is more accurate) in the snow, utterly immobilized by my unwieldy penguin-like flippers. Despite my less-than-graceful attempts, I miraculously managed to avoid any serious collisions. Though I'm obviously not ready to tackle the intimidating black diamond runs (seriously scary), I genuinely enjoyed my time at Greek Peak. From the get-go, Greek Peak made a positive impression. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning snow-covered landscapes and a well-maintained facility. The staff were incredibly friendly and patient, offering help when I was stuck in between a crevice :,) Perhaps any mountain resort would do the same but it was fun and everything went smoothly!

The pit itself is deep and not always easy to enter, so keep an eye out for paths that lead to the bottom. The area is pretty barren, but you may find the occasional wrecked/torched car, "art installation" (i.e., doll heads lined up on a log), or remnants of a fire pit and/or party. The emptiness and decay tends to spook visitors, so never travel alone! I used to come here a lot to go mountain biking with friends. The area has single track gravel paths for beginners and an impressive combination of man-made and natural stunts, hills, drops, bridges, and climbs for more advanced riders. I'm almost positive that the entire quarry is off limits, so watch out for cops or you might get busted for trespassing. But don't let that deter you from going! The Skytop Quarry is eerily wonderful.

The trails are really well maintained and were a good easy hike. I also love how much there is to do here beyond just hiking. There are biking trails, horseback riding, and even skiing in the winter. It feels like a park you could come back to in every season and have a completely different experience. There is also a welcome center with a small gift shop and a nature center. You could easily spend a whole day here. I loved it!

This park is great in every season, and we are lucky to have it here. Most people show up for the waterfalls and the views of the gorge. They deserve the hype. The scenery alone is worth the price of admission and a solid chunk of your day. If you stop there, you are missing out. Dig deeper. Come in the winter and see the ice volcano. It feels like something too cool for WNY. Stop by during the hot air balloon festival in the summer and watch the sky fill with color over the gorge. Get off the rim trail and explore the trails that go through the woods. Make time for the less populated side of the park. Fewer people, more natural trails, and no admission fee. It has a completely different vibe and is perfect if you want something a little more peaceful.

The rental includes a helmet and bike lock. I'm more comfortable riding a tricycle at home for running errands, but Laurence was very patient as I became re-accustomed to riding a two-wheeler, helping me find a bike that was the right size for me, adjusting the seat and handle bars, and walking me through how to charge the bike and use the electric throttle. The electric motor was very helpful as I rode around Itacha's steep hills. All in all, the rental process was easy and the bike was fantastic!

Though I've only tested the rental bikes (including electric!) People are newer to biking, especially those with kids, surely appreciate these improvements. When I have had one of my two bicycles serviced there (numerous times by now) the turnover time is quick and the prices are reasonable. I'm taking my winter bike in to Boxy Bikes tomorrow for some service before that road salt comes out! A great, reliable Local Bike Shop!
