I used to frequent this mall often when it had a Cinnaholic. Since its permanent closure, I haven't been back. However, a few businesses have lured me in, such as Jollibee and this Roots store. I used to be a mall person. I don't frequent them as often as I used to. However, I was heading to the food court to figure out what was there. On my way over, I spotted this Roots store. I decided to check it out. I love the French terry line of sweatshirts. They remind me of wearing a mint green French terry sweatshirt from Fairweather when I was in high school. Roots is a reminder of my youth. I got my first sweatshirt and t-shirt from Roots in grade 8. I saved up for both. I've also owned a few small purses and a backpack from this store. These days, I'm into its line of beaver plushies. It all started when I was at a Roots store in Ottawa. I got a beaver plushie wearing a Beaver Canoe hoodie. I recently looked at the line of beaver plushies online. The FIFA version has sold out. However, I saw so many other versions online that I needed to witness them in person. I walked in and was immediately greeted by an enthusiastic female staffer with another female peer. So nice! I got to touch the French terry sweatshirts and sweatpants. I also loved seeing ringer t-shirts with the original Roots logo. I found two styles of beaver plushies. One had a grey hoodie on. The other had a floral pattern. So adorable! The cheerful female associate said that there were more beaver plushies. She pulled out a drawer with the cutest beaver plushies all staring at me. I love hockey. There were two hockey beaver plushies. One was reduced by $8. The other was not. Being who I am, I analyzed both plushies. No defects on either of them. I don't know why one was discounted and the other wasn't. I went with the sale one. I kept the grey hoodie one that I fell in love with. There was an additional 20% off my plushies. They helped pay for the tax and then some. When I was ready to pay for my items, the other nice woman asked if I had an e-mail address with them. It had been a while since I shopped at Roots. I gave them the one that I thought would be the one that was associated with my Roots account. She found me. Yay! I got a reusable bag for my beaver plushies. I forgot that Roots always gives you one with every purchase. I thanked both of them and left. I'm happy with my purchases. It was great stopping by this store. (222)

The employee was requesting $40 for a cleaning fee. I am in disbelief, we made a mistake but it should also be the stores responsibility to manage their inventory. The pants may have gotten dirty at the bottom due to being worn in the car and the grocery store before being noticed.
