They also expect their workers to do an unfair amount of work for minimum wage. Theft and prevention, store cleanliness, PERFECT customer service, up selling, and adapting to the many technical issues they face year round is just a small glimpse of what is expected from a part-time worker. The only good things that came out of my entire year and five months that I worked there was the few friends I managed to make (which was nearly impossible due to the high turnover rate) the staff couldn't brainwash who were actually pretty solid, and a free green water bottle they gave me as a prize during Christmas time. (Their Christmas bonuses are convoluted and are only accessible to you if you are one of the few full timers they've had on staff for years or they decide they like you enough to give you enough hours to easily achieve this goal). Save yourself the trouble and work anywhere else. And if you care about the morality of where you spend your money? Do not shop here. The place is also extremely dusty and their clothes aren't nice enough for how much they charge customers (nearly everything that has any amount of cotton in it shrinks two sizes).This is by far the worst location in this area. I was shopping for a casual blazer and asked what they had. They had one. While this was disappointing it made sense considering the clothing line. The person helping me though said they were getting more selection in soon. Good to know, however...after leaving here I went a few doors down to Showroom where they already had the new blazers in. Why did Showroom have them already and the brand's own store didn't? Odd. The only other slightly annoying thing about this store was that I had to leave my tea at the counter. Please change the name. …read more What used to be a fairly popular store for tall sizes and large feet has radically slimmed down its selection of made-for-Tall waist and coat and jacket sizes, and we can see all footwear has been eliminated. This is a disaster. Some years ago I'd spend thousands and thousands of dollars at this chain of stores. I'd spontaneously buy things I found there at reg price just because they fit well and looked good. GR actually helped me (6'-6", 36 waist, 15 shoe) build a decent casual fashion wardrobe for some years. and I scooped most anything they stocked that could use, as did other tall slim locals like me (it was competitive and sizes went fast.) Now this is a dead store for me. :-( Not bitter, and thanks GR for the help in years past. It was a uniquely helpful experience for tall men.

It's about 8 minutes away from the original location and comes with hassle free parking. I went there today for the first time since they moved and boy was it worth it! The studio/shop is lovely and shopping was fun and hassle free and unpressured. I had a better sense of how stylish the clothes are. I had a mandate in mind. I'm doing a lot of travelling and I wanted to put together a wardrobe that was easily interchangeable and fun to wear and that would easily fit into a carry on suitcase. I'm thrilled with what I bought. The value and quality was great. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you Julie. I love your vision.

I came to find Miik clothing & bought two of their Emily Cardigans & a dress. Julie is the store owner & she was there the day I came in. She was so helpful & I loved her positive & friendly attitude. The decor of the store is nice too. There are natural wood logs acting as posts for the clothing racks. It's a nice, light, airy feeling in the store. There are two change rooms at the back & a mirror nearby so you can check out how things fit on you. Will definitely be back in the store in the future!

I got so many compliments on dresses I bought from that store, whether I wore their stuff socially or at work. Actually it kind of made me feel like I was one of those glamorous women in Mad Men. I'll always have a soft spot for this place - highly recommend if you're into vintage, pretty dresses. Most of that part of Queen Street has great vintage finds.

There were more adorable earrings, purses, and clothes than I could fathom. My friend and I wandered the store for nearly an hour alternately exclaiming, "cute!" with mouth agape or chatting up the staff. As Erin H mentions, each showcased artist/designer works onsite once a week. The only downside to this is if inquiring minds have questions about something other than the artist du jour personally made, there won't be any answers. And as a person with some hard core metal allergies, I won't buy jewelry unless I am certain that it doesn't contain anything that will make my earlobes swell. However, I was lucky to encounter the artist who crafted the earrings that fell in love with and so, got to take them home with me (and support the local arts). Plus, I was able to be a helper that day (I love being of assistance). As the resident artist handed me a credit card receipt, I was able to pass along this little tip: legal colors only please! I passed on the pink pen handed to me and instead signed with a my own, handy blue plume. For, although I wasn't planning on contesting the charges, anyone could attempt to do so and without either a customer's blue or black ink signature on file, the store might end up "out" some fundage.

I love the line of boots and shoes! So comfy, yet rugged and something that I can wear to work and on a night out. I love their fast find too where they'll find the size and goods that you want if you can't find it in store and have it shipped right to your home. I pretty much received my stuff within 2 business days. Everything is backed by that crazy Canadian Tire-esque guarantee where you can pretty much return anything you're not 100% happy with. Enough raving about the chain - more on the store! My love for Mark's also stems from the fact that the first time I stepped into this location, it was my shelter away from a sudden rainstorm. This location is large with plenty of free parking. It's kind of buried within the cavernous parking lot, but easy to find. The folks working there were very friendly and helpful.
