Matt came out, suited up with a buddy, and they proceeded to remove them while being accosted the whole time. It took a few tries to get them all, but Matt hung in there and we are finally FREE! He's a super nice guy that showed up when he said he would (a rarity these days) and was so knowledgable and personable. Can't recommend this company highly enough! While we were in plano we wanted to check it out. The building is really small, and they only sell a few items in the shop. raw milk, lots of different flavors of yogurts and butter. we heard good things about the butter, and wanted to buy some butter but totally forgot about it. the lucky layla yogurt drink is a bit cheaper here vs central market, and they also have a lot more flavors to choose from. plenty of parking up front. its located right across the street from the Collin College Plano Campus

My issue is not that the berries are repackaged nor is it about whether berries are in season locally. My concern is the lack of transparency. To me, the presentation and lack of labeling/pricing feel misleading as a customer. For example, if commercially grown berries (such as pesticide heavy Driscolls) are repackaged into open fruit baskets and sold in a store called a farmers market with no labels, pricing, signage, or disclosure of their source unless someone specifically asks, a customer could assume they're locally grown. (I'm using Driscoll's only as an example as again, I have no idea what brand you actually sell.) There's also a food safety concern. Repackaging produce into unlabeled containers removes Traceability customers rely on. If a specific lot was recalled because of an outbreak, how would customers know whether the berries they purchased were affected? I don't work for the Texas Department of Agriculture, so I'm not claiming any of these is a violation but the lack of transparency could raise consumer protection concerns. At the end of the day I simply believe customers deserve clear information about what they're buying.
