4.5 stars overall. Menards is a home-improvement chain that currently has a few hundred retail stores in mostly the North-Central United States. I live in Pittsburgh, PA, and I could not find any bathroom vanities and cabinets that I like in my city, so I searched online. The Menards website had cabinets that I liked, so my husband and I drove out to this store in West Virginia to see the cabinets in person. As I walked through the store, I felt happy with the selection of merchandise: appliances, bathroom vanities, kitchen cabinets, light fixtures, electrical and plumbing supplies, primers and paints, flooring, pet supplies, etcetera. I even saw beauty products and foods! Some brands are available at competing retailers, but other brands are not available elsewhere. I viewed the bathroom cabinets in person, and I really liked the quality, style, and price. I needed much time to decide my preferred species of wood and color of stain. An employee kindly showed me another cabinet in a sample color so I could try to make up my mind. I plan to soon special-order these bathroom cabinets through the website. AVOID ALL Menards interior door products (Master Craft doors). Their interior door line is junk. The raised panel(cardboard) doors with vinyl wrapped jambs are horrible to install.The raised panel pine bifolds from Brazil come out of the box dirty with deep grime that needs cleaning before any finish and also many install problems.Be careful ordering anything they do not have in stock..expect delay and incomplete orders. Went to the store to purchase a 5 tier shelf. After 3 employees watched me load it on a cart by myself they asked if they could help. I replayed no I already have it loaded. At check out I was NEVER asked if I need help loading ver disappointed terrible customer service. read more

I ordered stuff on line over my smart phone. Pulled up to the gate to scan the bar code and the scanner wouldn't pick up the bar code. The gate attendant came over and got into my email and without my permission opened the email and forwarded it to his hand held device. He should have asked me permission to do that. Then I had to back away from that gate and get let in on the center gate. The people at will call were in a miserable mood complaining about having no help. I was picking up heating pellets and found out they had them at the checkout counter. IF I ever go back there for them I won't waste the time ordering on line. I have been shopping Menards since it's opening. I do still shop at Lowes or did until today. I just left Lowe's with the worst shopping experience from not finding an employee to help me find my item to the self checkouts bring backed up 8 in a line. Ii want to let everyone at Menards know your service is the best. I can walk in and usually. Asked if Ineed help by 2 or 3 employees. If I need help I now just go to the Electrical or Plumbing Desk where Managers Dakota or Chris will stop what they are doing tp talw me a anywhere in the store to get my product. I never realized the extra effort until I was ignored at Lowes. I keep up the Great work. You are my only Home Improvement Store now. read more

This really is a one stop shop. They have outdoor furniture, tools, BBQ grills, baths, showers, lighting, accessories, groceries, toys, casual work clothing. Prices are low to moderate. Highly recommend for your indoor and outdoor home needs. read more

As a Guest shopping at MENARDS, I have to say the Selection and Service is what attracted me first. The quality surpassed anything I had purchased at Lowe's, Home Depot or any other Hardware/Home improvement store in the past. The selection; for instance the copper gutters I found for my previous home were truly unexpected. I thought I would have to change the original look and risk the integrity of The property until I found them at Menards. The Menards owned Manufacturing segments, as another example, let you customize your order doors to your specifications. The doors I purchased are as beautiful years after installation as they were when I put them in. The price and added 11% rebate for in store Merchandise Credit Check helps out with incidentals to make your project look upper end at a builders grade price point; thus, giving your home a better curb appeal or Business a more professional appearance. I proudly tell people commenting on the doors, , "Yes, they are Custom doors from Menards, you should come up and let one of us show you what we offer and how to order doors to your taste" or How to order on line using MCOM. I had such a positive experience with Menards that I wanted to be part of a winning team. I was 55 and semi retired and looking for a second career path, I applied for a position and quickly hired on as a Manager in Training. Shortly after about 2 1/2 years and several promotions, (since Menards likes promotes from within),I am now a Department Manager and still training to move up in rank and responsibility. Learning something new everyday about the company and its processes is fulfilling and passing that knowledge on to better serve guests gives you an incredible feeling of pride. In closing, if you have a Good to Great work ethic, work hard, take great care of your guests, respect the people you work with and Earn the respect of your superiors while learning from them, success is imminent.
