The USPS contacted me, and said they were searching for my package. The next day, I received an email that the package was out for delivery. I received it yesterday, a little over 2 weeks after it was ordered. While everything worked out, I will still say Menards customer service could have been better, and shipping + handling was quite expensive... but who knows what each customer rep's work load is given the size of the company. Half the stuff I try to get is "in the back"... it's on a shelf, in the store, but in the back. So, they want to charge us a "small fee" for a team member to retrieve the items from the back.... a separate fee for each item we went there to buy. No, I'm not paying them an extra fee to get items just because they are no long on display in the store. These are items we've bought there regularly for years... Let me start by saying it was my fault, but....I purchased eight windows at $427.00 each ($3421.00) at Prinston, IN Menard's last July. I had sitting on concrete and covered with tarps. Due to health issues of contractor and weather, garage was postponed until recently (April). Lifted the tarp and four windows warped horribly and unusable. I contacted Steve (dept. mgr, Prinston, IN) and explained the situation and was hoping for a large discount (or at cost) to replace the windows that I screwed up. Steve stated that "We have to make money too" and "We might be able to give you a low, single digit discount". I've spent a lot of money at Menard's in the past few years building a house, a garage, and now another garage that will be used as a shop. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I'm really disappointed and unfortunately I will be taking my $$$ and business elsewhere. Good bye Menard's, it was nice while it lasted. Would have been a 5 star but they slipped a very dark deck board in the middle of a stack of 28 , and on top of that the board had a split around a knot about half way in the middle leaving about 1 1/2 inch. They were real good at replacing the defective deck board . read more

Great shopping experience here. Friendly and helpful staff members. Nice selection of merchandise that was also well organized. Easy to find what I was looking for. It was also easy to navigate a cart through the aisles. I also picked up an online order. That process for doing that was easy. Great prices here too. read more

They are so bad with timely deliveries and no communication. They react to everything, and I had to wait three weeks for an order that was supposed to take less than a week because the delivery manager didn't plan effectively for an order, he knew was on its way in. When it arrived, he already booked his drive and was completely inflexible to my needs, and I absolutely needed this as soon as possible. This is the first time I used Menards because of fellow colleagues that advised me to buy somewhere else, and so I gave them the benefit of the doubt only to prove them right. Never again. I placed an order for unfinished wood flooring on 7/17/2021 MENARDS online. Had it sent to Princeton Indiana store because I didn't want to spend $80 for shipping. Princeton is a 30 minute drive ( round trip 1 hour). Received email it had arrived at Princeton store Wednesday July 21 at 12:22 pm. I drove to pick it up Friday July 23. Waited an 1 hour and 20 minutes to be told it wasn't there. But that they would reorder it. I asked that it be delivered to my house since this was not my mistake. Forward to Friday July 30. Email states items have arrived at Princeton store. I called to verify they are physically in the store, "yes they are at here". Today Saturday July 31, I drive back to MENARDS. Which by the time we get waited on, it's pouring down raining. I asked for some type of tarp or plastic covering since the wood was banded together but not boxed or wrapped. Talked to 2 people who claimed to be the manager. Was told they don't have anything to wrap it but THAT I CAN BUY A TARP, BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT JUST GIVE STUFF TO ME OFF THE SHELF. WHAT ?!? We did buy a tarp FOR $3.18 because we weren't getting anywhere with these unprofessional employees. So I'm filing a complaint against the store and these employees whose names are Elizabeth and Aaron. I'll never use MENARDS again ! I don't understand what the $19.99 charge for package & handling was for. I had at least 5-6 pieces of flooring broken. I will shop at Lowe's and Home Depot. Never again at Menards. The employees at this store need a lesson on customer service and courtesy . read more

Menards has everything I need and even things I need from the grocery store. It's definitely a one stop shop. Their return policy is great too. I bought a hedge trimmer and ended up taking down the whole hedge with branch trimmers instead so I didn't need it. I was worried because I'd opened the box already and attached the battery because I thought it possibly came charged which it didn't (Good thing I bought Branch cutters!) The return was quick and easy and went right back to my menards card. All the staff are friendly and usually super helpful. Plus you can't beat the 11% rebate when they have it! The only reason it isn't five stars is because sometimes you get what you pay for there. I've bought a few things where quality and durability didn't seem that great but the items were all really cheap so I can't complain too much. read more

Nice store but it sorely needs customer service training for the staff. My wife and I are elderly and we spent 45 minutes in the store on Sunday afternoon. Not one employee asked if they could assist us BUT several went out of their way to demand that we wear our medical masks. read more

Menards refuse to let my 7 year old daughter use the bathroom. My girlfriend, 7 & 14 year old girls, and myself drove 40 minutes to the Princeton Menards tonight, not knowing that children under 18 years old are not allowed inside the store. We were like ok and told the older one to watch the younger one in the car. So we hurry through the store to get our purchases, when the girls called saying the 7 year old has to pee. We told them to hold it and we will be out in another 10 minutes. While checking out, the older one calls saying the younger one is crying, because she has to pee. While I finish checking out my girlfriend went to ask the person at the door if she could just come in the exit to go to the restroom because we live 40 minutes away and she is about to pee in her pants. While she is waiting for a response on the radio I go ahead and get her from the car and go to the exit, when my girlfriend comes saying their not letting her in. While my seven year old is crying on the sidewalk. So she says she can't hold it any longer and pees in her pants right there in front of the store. I kinda understand not letting kids in for health reasons but I also would think an exception could be made for a little girl who has to pee. Just let her in the exit by the bathroom and let her go to the bathroom. Instead of embarrassing the poor girl refusing her to go in the store and making her have an accident on the sidewalk. read more
