    This store does not answer their phone....I rang every department. I will drive to Yankton where the employees are courteous and friendly.

    Bought the Millcreek Mission style bedroom set (bed, 2 side…read moretables, gentleman's chest, low six drawer dresser) We were a bit worried because we couldn't find reviews of company or their furniture anywhere. Buying just from looking over pictures was nerve-wracking. Very concerned that we wouldn't like the quality of the pieces. When it finally arrived after 16 weeks, I was blown away by the quality of the furniture. We did the quartersawn oak and the pieces are solid, beautifully made and each are signed by the Amish craftsman who made it. The bedroom set EXCEEDED my expectations in every way! Drawer joints are nicely dovetailed, and pull out to the full length of the drawer. Color of the wood is warm and rich. The queen bed is solid and imposing. The set makes a definite statement when seen for the first time. We opted for "into the house" delivery and it was worth it. We couldn't have gotten the pieces up our stairs, they were very heavy and awkward to handle. We had to assist the delivery men to get the gentleman's chest up the stairs and even with 4 of us, we almost dropped it. I love showing the bedroom set off now because everyone just gushes about how nicely constructed it is. One warning....the set is very large and takes up a lot of room when set up. Not made for a small bedroom!

    I actually had a very frustrating experience with Sugar Plum Oak. I ordered an armoire and the…read morewrong hardware was attached to the drawers. I called and we decided that if they could get me matching hardware I would simply replace my old hardware with their new. They did send the hardware, but it was the wrong size and color. I returned it. I have subsequently called at least 6 times, sent emails and written letters to try to get this resolved. When I speak to someone, I am given the "I'll take care of it" speech, but nothing has happened. I ordered the armoire in January of 2014 and now it is April of 2015, and I am no closer to having this situation taken care of. My disappointment at how I have been treated is extreme. While I appreciate that mistakes happen, I would think that someone who spent well over $1000, would get the courtesy of a return phone call.

    Rude staff. Make no mistake: they are there to make money, not to be helpful. The staff I…read moreencountered had no interest in helping us find classes in using any of the vast abundance of art supplies they supposedly specialize in; only in selling their high-priced merchandise. Very rude when asked if they were aware of anyone in the community who taught classes. Just a very snotty, "can't help ya." In fairness, I'm just an ER nurse. I can't imagine the stress of working in such a fast-paced, high-stakes job as the arts and crafts store. So I won't bother those poor, overworked employees any more. From now on, we'll buy all our art supplies on Amazon.

Took it back, explained the situation like somehow someone probably open-ended it and took the parts and returned it or did it right in the store, who knows. All I know is I just bought cardboard and instructions and even with a receipt the actual "Owner" of this establishment basically called me a liar or that I was confused or something, either way he made me feel like I was either a criminal or an idiot and a liar. I'm currently doing a project for a school play (backdrops, props) and I have spent ALOT of money with this business, my last receipt totaled $320+, I've been a very good customer for him and his company but after this incident I am so ashamed for ever stepping inside the place, considering I could get everything I buy from Hobby Lobby online for sooo much cheaper to be honest. Why am I shopping here in the first place but maybe to keep the money local but if the owner treats his loyal customers like Degenerates, Criminals and Liars. I can only say one thing to this owner "You just lost a valued customers reflecting the score you will get from me; ZERO Stars!
