If I could give them a zero, I would. Nails all over the driveway you end up with flat tires. They do nothing to compensate you. Another incident I purchased a brand new refrigerator from them with cash. Got it home it did not work. Immediately ( next day) notified them, They told us we could not return it to the store. We had to have it seviced three times in order to get a refund. That's just their policy, they said. Sure enough, 3 different times after the service guy came out and said it's It's irreparable all 3 times .... Got it back to the store, and they said now we can only give us an instore credit, because it had been over 30 days. Which by The time you have the service guy come out, say it's broken ,wait twelve hours , See, it's still not working, then called the service guy, wait another week for him to come out.. etc. it had been 32 days only because the service guy had made 3 different appointments in that month and told us from day one that it was defective. Yet they (Menards)only wanted to give us an in store credit instead of our cash back. Over $1000. I'm sorry , but nobody is going to tell me where to spend my money, and it definitely will NEVER be Menards!!! I did not leave without getting my money back, let me tell you that. Been here 3-4 times. Consistently the worst customer service of any retail store I've ever been to! It's crazy ridiculous trying to find someone to help you and when an employee walks by they don't give you the time of day or look at you. I always have to walk up to the registers, ask for help and wait, for 10-20 mins. If you in any hurry or enjoy a timely experience I'd pass. Home Depot is much easier to navigate and has kind, helpful employees. read more

The first time I ordered something from Menards for a project I ordered 300 retaining wall blocks online. They called and e-mailed a delivery date. I drove 2 hours to the site and they never showed, NO CALL NO SHOW, NOTHING, I sat there all day. I finally called that night and they gave some bull story and tried to reschedule next week. I asked for some kind of discount for the inconvenience, like free delivery ($120) they gave nothing, did nothing, not even a sorry for the inconvenience!!!!!. So I cancelled the order and never used Menards again. HOME DEPOT AND LOWES, pay a little extra for the service- it's worth it. Worst construction store I have ever gone to. I am a professional contractor and a master carpenter for over 20 years and have never experienced something like that, EVER. Absolutely zero customer service. Just wow. The customer service sucks. Delivery lied on delivery date. I had contractors waiting only to find out the ETA on my delivery was 13 days after the promised date. Had to make 2 trips down to pick up bits and parts of my delivery order. Only to find out delivery would take another 6 days. And on top of it all i was only offered 25% back on my delivery charge when they didnt deliver when promised nor did they del iui ver everything. After 3 trips to menards to pick up items from the delivery order i now have to make a 4th trip to pick up my shower door and they only gave me $37.50 back on the delivery charge, gas in my vehicle is $40 each time. Plus my return was over their refund limit and they wouldnt put it all back on my debit card like i originally paid because it was over their limit so i got a $77.07 instore paper credit. After this renovation i refuse to ever shop here again. DO NOT SHOP HERE is my recomendation. read more
