I needed some pressure treated lumber to reinforce the corners of a raised bed. I wanted it cut to size. I couldn't find any pressure treated lumber. I asked the lady at the desk, she said it was out back. She said there was a saw out there I could use to cut the lumber myself and that there were people out there to help. Out back is a large space with some stuff outside and some in covered areas. There was no one around to ask. After wandering around for a while, I found what I was looking for. It was on a shelf well over my head. I didn't think I could get it down by myself. I left and went across the street to Home Depot where I got great service. I ordered a washer, dryer and 2 pedestals=$2,192. When the delivery company, Neliza Last Mile Inc.,Nick specifically, removed the 2 old pedestals that I told him I wanted to keep. I called him within 15 minutes of him leaving my house and he never returned my call. Many texts emails and phone calls to the delivery company and Menards. Wednesday in an email to corporate office they told me to contact delivery company...I have Einstein, they will not communicate! Menards cares NOTHING about their customer service! Listen. I'm an honest reviewer here on this platform and I don't sugar-coat my experiences. I've lost all respect for this company. The outdoor Garden Department at this location is hands down one of the most awful I've ever seen IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I'm not even exaggerating when I say that about 75% of their stock is severely stressed and/or dead!!! As a plant farmer myself, I'm extremely saddened to see that, what a waste of inventory and resources! (I was so sad and appalled that I couldn't even take photos. I had to get out of there!) There were no outdoor shade cloths over the makeshift trellises and only 1 large yellow hose dedicated to watering the entire outdoor area!!! SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT AT THIS LOCATION! Obviously no one gives a damn about maintaining a watering schedule and it shows! They had a rack of "discounted" dead plants. I am completely disappointed with Menards in general but especially the Mentor OH location. I have been a dedicated customer for 10+ years and have always paid my account on time. I have never had a problem with Home Depot being able to look up and use my account for purchases with my photo ID if I had accidentally forgotten or misplaced my card. I had an emergency purchase I needed to make today for an air conditioner for my elderly mother that her's broke and it is over 100 degrees in her small home. I have misplaced my card but had more than enough to cover the purchase and Menards had one in stock that would work for the square footage needed. I gave the cashier my ID, enter my full social security number and all my personal information as well as showed my account statement. They still declined my purchase because something about, until I received my new card in the mail it will not allow purchases with just my ID. Menards has now lost a dedicated customer who spent a lot of my hard earned money there. I have canceled my account with them and will never shop there again. read more

I give this place one star because as long as you don't make a large purchase that has working parts you're ok. Don't buy anything like a refrigerator or gas powered engine. If it never shows up or doesn't work they won't give you your money back. You'll get a store credit. Who wants $2500 in a store credit!? We never saw the frig and won't for at the earliest another month. We were supposed to have it after 2 months and now they're saying a 3rd month! Screw that! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Great store! Great prices! It is so clean and organized! You can find anything from greeting cards, food, home organization, home remodels to building a whole house! You can easily spend a few hours in here. Their prices are amazing and they sometimes have a 11% off rebate on everything in the store. You have to go to menards! I was in an isle ALL by myself for 10 minutes + ......sweating in my mask so i took it off while I was staring at the mess of fitting etc. in a MINUITE all of the sudden a EAGER employee appeared from nowhere wanting to help? and then of course hit me with the mask issue.....really, security called you cuz i dropped my mask? Had I known i would have assistance in a NY second I would have lower it in garden, where no was to be found, or lumber where i walked up and down the isles 3 times looking for help ? read more

I had heard about Me area for years. When we decided to redo a bathroom we visited this Menards. Not only did they have the items we needed but the staff was helpful, knowledgeable and beyond courteous. This store is about 17 miles from our home but we have been back for other projects. I was amazed that the staff walked us the the items we were looking for! Also, it was clean and neat. I would recommend this store over all the other Lowe's, Home Depot's, etc in the area. read more

I bought all new Whirlpool kitchen appliances (major purchase for me) and added the extended warranty from Menards. My 3-year-old fridge blew the compressor. Menards took a total of 5 weeks (I had to go buy ice every day) before their warranty company finally decided to send a check (for less than we paid of course) On top of that, the replacement is now $400 more, and I have to pay a new warranty, sales tax etc. Their form also says that I'm supposed to get food replacement money, but that didn't happen. I love Menards, much better than Home Depot or Lowes, they have virtually everything and prices are same or lower. Same chainsaw blades at HD are $37 while only $25 at Menards plus you typically get 11% back. Plus they don't jam the isles full of junk, was at HD last week because I needed something small and it's close but could hardly navigate the store with a cart, don't have that at Menards. read more

This is what a general store should look like. Lots of wood, tools, lights, etc., and a little food. Service is always excellent, the people who are on the floor are always helpful-they know where things are so that you don't waste your time searching. Wish it was closer to home. read more

Maybe this place is still to new but all of my experiences have been BAD. Recently placed an online order, never got a notification that it was ready for pick-up so I made my purchase somewhere else. When my credit card bill came they had billed me for item I never received. Call store to get a refund and they said no problem we will cancel. I week later charge still on my card. Had to call back and talk to manager who said he didnt understand why they wouldnt have canceled order as it was the easiest thing ever to do! Their entire online order and pick-up system is a mess. I am a 66 year old lady who needs some help loading my car and getting items in the garden center and three young men have helped me with large loads on 3 different occasions: Joey, Dominic, and Alex. I don't have the best opinion of young workers but these guys were respectful, helpful, and I sure appreciate it. Actually, everyone here is very helpful and will walk you to items in the store or use their phones to look up if they have the item in stock. I really enjoy coming here. read more

I ordered a pool online and it's winter cover. They canceled my pool without notice and when I went to return the pool cover I was charged a restock fee. Never shopping there again. Should not have had to pay for a restock fee when the pool cancellation was on them. What am I going to do with a pool cover without a pool?!!! read more

They are always out of something when I go. The managers have such terrible attitudes. While I was there I spoke with Zac, Greg, Adam, mikayla they all seemed as if they didn't really care about the guest at all and all they cared about was talking to other employees.... Zac was being rude to the other employees. His attitude was unjustified. This store will not be seeing my business again. I rather shop at Lowe's or Home Depot. At least their managers treat guests and other employees nicely. read more
