Came multiple times here. Never had a luck to find someone who can help. Waited 25 min to find someone in the mattress section. I got the mattress, but no one in the pick up and delivery department. I waited another 15 min to find a live human being. The service is so painful. read more

have submitted five rebates approximately $30 each in the last four months and have received one back. They blame the US Postal Service but Menards is the one that mails to you a postcard that anyone can use as a rebate. So their pricing including 11% is not what I can get because I can't get a rebate.! read more

I've shopped Forsyth IL Menards for years and was more than surprised to see an employee in pants hanging down around his bottom, or the "prison look". What message are they sending when they don't even adhere to dress policy. It's bad enough to have to look at it in public but now I'm expected to look at it at a business? The employees were incredibly rude and one old man followed us around the entire store. If i could give it 0 stars I would.

It was a horrible experience. We could not get anyone to help, we could not ding prices listed correctly. After 30 minutes waiting for help in purchasing a toilet, the price located in front of the item it rang up 40 dollars more. I then bothered the cashier by telling her it was marked wrong. I did not put the toilet on the cart they did, they told us the price took it to the register. They were not professional at all, only the young kid that tried to help us was. I would not recommend this store, go to Home Depot. read more

This location is kept clean and the employees try to be helpful. Big plus is they do carry many "Made in USA" products and prominently label as such. I have had one problem and it involved the exchangeable propane tanks kept outside; one was 1/3rd empty. Otherwise, not a bad selection and fair to good prices. Be aware they do have a lot of "After Rebate" prices/sales. I have stopped shopping the big "L" chain store---selection is not as large as Menards and some prices a lot higher. read more

Went in to get the 20" fan they had on sale and behold out. One would think that warmer weather coming they would keep items in stock but they don't keep hot sale items in stock it's not a good business practice. Needless to say this store needs some work and management that makes sure hat their sale items are in stock. read more

They are pretty good about helping you find what you need. There's 2 older guys in plumbing that really knowledgeable. I guess they fired the tall guy Steve who was so good in paint. The building materials people are decent. The guy with the long blonde hair is helpful. The pickup department was kind of a mess, one woman knew what she was doing and she was trying to direct a couple of guys that apparently needed some training. Sometimes if me if I need help getting a 5 gallon bucket of mud loaded, and I have loaded a complete toilet without an offer of help so it's hit or miss really. A lot of their more helpful employees have left for Caterpillar. read more

The prices at this home improvement store are ok but can be difficult. They put the price with a mail in rebate on the sticker on the shelf. No one wants to mail in something to get a check for $2.48 on a ten dollar item. Time to get up to the electronic ERA and with the rest of the competition and do it instantly. The staff at this place are all very young and most have no knowledge about alot of the product they sell let alone the projects that those product lines are to be used for. This place tends to hire very young, and pretty women. Mostly for the cashier section of the store but more recently has been adding them to other areas. I have nothing against this demographic but knowledge and service trump looks when it comes to dealing with items to fix or upgrade my home. As a customer I want to know that the people I am dealing with are knowledgeable, accurate, and will give me good service when I come into the store. Overall not a bad establishment and I prefer this place of other big box stores due to pricing and ease of getting in and out. read more

Big thumbs up to Menards. They know how to run a store, take care of customers and hire right. We are in the midst of a home improvement project. Very helpful staff, no matter what the question is. Not only do they know where things are, they are helpful with the project at hand. Sure wish they were in California!!! read more

I personally don't like having someone ask me every five seconds if I need help. Usually it's no issue finding someone to ask a question and I'm glad they leave me alone. I know what I'm there for generally and don't have a problem walking around looking at stuff. I'm a guy so.... read more

Beware, if you make an online purchase, this store is horrible about pulling your items off the shelf, and customer service is obsolete. After ordering and paying for some items online (that were out of stock at my Normal, IL store) drove an hour to the Forsyth store to pick up my items. Waited for over 10 minutes for an employee to recognize I was standing there, then took another 30 minutes to find out no one pulled my items off the shelf THEN found out they "accidentally" sold 2 of the 22 items I already paid for. Forsyth store, you need to obviously train your employees on how to do their jobs. Never had problems like this at the Normal store... Ever...and I've built 2 whole houses mainly using Menards = $$ read more

Im a bit surprised there hasn't been any other reviews of Menards yet. This is my favorite store for shopping. They have the best selection of home improvement products around Decatur and the rebates are always a nice bonus. read more
