Gutter cleaning that required a return visit within weeks -- and now the company won't even inspect the issue. I hired Men In Kilts to clean my gutters on April 30, 2025. Within a few weeks the front gutter was already overflowing, so I contacted them and they sent a technician back. During that return visit, the technician had to manually dig out a significant amount of debris, including asphalt shingle granules that were completely clogging the downspout, and mentioned that the gutter looked like it had not been fully cleaned during the initial service. Recently, several gutters started overflowing again during rain. When I reached out to the company, the initial response pointed to a tall tree seen in Google images as the likely cause. However, that tree had actually been removed in December 2023, well before the gutter service was performed. After I clarified that, the explanation shifted to "foreign objects" such as toys, rocks, and cans that had been removed previously. But if those items were already removed during the earlier service and return visit, they wouldn't explain the current overflow. Despite the original cleaning already requiring a follow-up visit shortly after it was done, the company declined to come out and inspect the gutters again. I was simply asking for someone to take a look before assuming a full new service was required, or at least discuss options. Based on this experience, I would recommend making sure every section of your gutters is actually cleaned and properly documented. read more

Men in Kilts went above and beyond to deliver a 5-star experience! We hired them to clean gutters, install our pre-purchased gutter guards and power wash the siding on our house. Jim and Spencer were quick to respond, showed up promptly as scheduled with a smile on their faces and finished the work thoroughly. Unfortunately, it turned out we did not have enough gutter guards to finish all the gutters on the house. It was our fault -- but, without missing a beat, they offered to come back and install the rest as soon as we had it. Andrew and Austin showed up on time. They walked through what was going to be done and explained the process. We had patio furniture that needed to be moved so they could clean the patio. No hesitation on their part to move it out of the way and did so carefully. They went to work and completed the cleaning without any issues. They even hand cleaned portions of our front porch that were hard to get to. All in all we are very pleased with the work. I moved into a new home in early spring, and wanted to finish a few outdoor projects, mainly pressure washing and window cleaning. I had previously used two separate companies for both services in the past. Since I was in a new house, I reached out to get some quotes. Men in Kilts came out to take a look at the project and gave me a quote. It was not the cheapest, but they offered both services, and matched the window washing price from a competitor. So the good. Donald with Men in Kilts reached out to me the morning he was to arrive with a 25 minute heads up. He arrived promptly, was polite and was a hard worker. He worked for 5-6 hours by himself on the pressure washing and exterior window washing. Now the bad. I got home later in the day and had a chance to look at their work, and was very disappointed. The exterior windows were streaky, and the pressure washing left overlap streaks/marks everywhere. Tire marks were still there. I reached out to the company and told them my concerns. They came back later in the week, and this time, it was Donald, another worker and the owner of the company. The windows are cleaned using a brush on a pole with some sort of spotless rinse that goes through the pole to the brush. They don't use a squeegee. This left streaks, even after they redid a few windows a second time in a few spots. MIK uses environmentally friendly products. Great, but ultimately this translates into "there are limits to our cleaning". So after revisiting the streaks, the driveway did not look any better. The owner suggested this may be caused by the pressure washer removing previous sealant from the concrete and the streaks caused by overlapping areas of sealant removal. But ultimately, his cleaners and technique could not clean it appropriately. Any further escalation would require chemicals he did not feel comfortable with. Ultimately, my driveway looks worse than than it did when we started. MIK refunded my pressure washing costs, and I will now have to use another company to redo the pressure washing. I have to give credit to the company for trying their best to make things right. They came out a second time to try to make things right, and ultimately refunded my pressure washing costs when they couldn't. Both times they came, they were prompt, gave a heads up and are hard workers. However, after giving an in person estimate, I expect a service provider to know the scope of what they can and can't handle. I also expect a job to be done correctly the first time, not requiring multiple trips and my involvement to be done correctly. read more

The scheduling process was a little confusing . First, I did not get a response to my online quote request within 24hrs. I had to call the service center. Then, date of service I agreed on with the agent was July 25th. This was also in their email confirmation, but then I received a voice message that it was July 27th and asking if the 29th was better. Luckily, they had a cancellation and we were able to receive service July 5th, so that was great. The service techs called 15 min before arrival, and called me again with an estimate since I couldn't be home. They even sent me pics of the gutters cleaned per request. They finished in under 2 hours. We stopped by the house a couple hours later and it was spotless. They did a fantastic job cleaning the gutters, power washing the patio, and cleaning up after themselves. Invoice was sent via email and could be paid online. Very convenient. Aside from the scheduling snafu, I would be happy to use their services again. read more

Men in kilts came to clean my windows and screens last week. They did an ok job on the windows but the screens looked worse after they cleaned them than before they came. In addition the technician ripped a hole in a screen and then tried to tell me it was already there when I know for a fact it was not, because it was a pretty day and I had just opened the windows right before he came and would have noticed it. HORRIBLE They are so dishonest FIRST the quote they gave me was not honored THEN when I argued they decided they would honor it - but come back "at their convenience" THEN we arranged a date - and they showed up on a different date I had planned to cancel and they showed up and started WITHOUT my permission They said they took pictures - they did of one small area - I got up on the ladder to check their work - the inside of the gutter were debris free - but totally filthy! read more

Men in Kilts did a great job cleaning my gutters. The response to my questions was fast and able to schedule an appointment quickly. The only issue was the day of the appointment there was a call off and they'd were going to have to reschedule. I communicated how important it was I get the gutters done that day and they were able to send another guy to later in the day. We called Men in Kilts to remedy the mess left behind on our windows by a previous window washing company. Joel was friendly and professional. He went right to work removing the streaks and some kind of chemical that had adhered to the window. He wouldn't give up until it was removed. He even brought his own ionized water supply to insure that no hard water stains would be deposited on our windows after washing. We felt that the price was reasonable for the amount of time and effort Joel spent on restoring the sparkle to our windows. We recommend this company and will be using them exclusively in the future. read more

Very professional and friendly costumer service staff. They explained the different pricing options for window cleaning and gutters. They were slightly higher than the competition but not much. I called less than 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and requested an appointment before then since I had people visiting from out of town and they were able to accommodate me. The two guys that came to clean my windows were very respectful of my home and family, friendly and did a great job cleaning the windows. That day was snowing so they were able to do just the inside but came back two days after to clean the exterior. I clean my windows all the time but boy it makes a difference to have them professionally cleaned. read more
