Hopefully after reading my review you can make an informed decision to sign up or not. In the end we moved on to a new studio (cheaper price and better communication). But Georgia's still might the right choice for you. One of my biggest fears with any dance studio is when they force girls to dress and dance provocatively like they were in a hip hop music video. I'd say Georgia's is more on the conservative side which was a big plus. If you're new here it can be tough getting pertinent dance studio information. Sue (owner) has no concept of technology and often posts official announcements via poster board on the windows of the studio. Good luck getting info for picture day or info buying the recital video. That's probably one of the main factors for leaving here. The classes are fine and so was the instruction. Tho keep in mind instructors struggle with receiving information from the owner too. The big recital in June. After a year of classes you'll be expecting a proper recital and Georgia's doesn't disappoint. They rent out the Center Stage theater ( California Center of the Arts) for three nights of recitals. A total of 40 different classes put on a performance before a packed house each night. If you're into a big production, Georgia's is the place to go. Notes: - Cash only!?! This is not a liquor store! - Instructors can be let go on a whim.. - No parents allowed. They have a waiting room up front, or chairs in the back alley area but no cameras of the classes like other studios. - While there are some very competitive dancers (and parents) that's not the norm. - The receptionist/ cash collector is just there to collect payment. No vested interest in being enthusiastic about the studio or the customers. - There are additional fees for the recital and a whopping $26 per ticket to watch each night. I'm not suggesting Sue (owner) is making a profit and I suspect she's losing money on the recital. I'm pointing out additional fees you may or may not be made aware of. This also goes back to the lack of communication. So is Georgia's worth it? Look, there's a great recital and most people like this studio. Just know it's far from perfect and the owner refuses to modernize.. So yeah, give it a try for a year..

She was having fun learning new things since it was her first time dancing again in a while. Then after a while she started to complain that she already knew these techniques and that they never learned anything new. This studio has horrible teaching, they keep reteaching the same technique from the RAD exam sheets and don't even try to learn anything new which doesn't give children room to reach their full potential. Also, students who have parents that work or / volunteer often give students with low experience hard and good roles to bad students and give good high experience students very low expectation roles. It's very disappointing how high my hopes were for this studio to only see how cheap and disgusting it really is. Also, I have heard this from other moms at the studio but staff from the studio have made children uncomfortable by saying things about how they look. Just absolutely sad and depressing a child has to think how they look because of these ignorant selfish people. Not even kidding, they are always having sewer problems, they always have to cut up the roof during class and water is dripping from the sealing, and to mention they always have construction going on and they just can't do it on a day not during class. Prices are way too high for low venue cheap places just to go see our kids dance. This studio also only focuses on one student who has been there for 15 years and all the photos on the photo review section is all about her and they maybe have a few other students but other than that she is the star of the show practically. I swear there is other and way better places to put our beloved children in other than this dump. Do Better.

While the instructors seemed competent, they were clearly overwhelmed--far too many students per coach, which severely limited individual support unless you paid for private sessions. However, the most troubling experience was financial. I was assured by the owner that the charges for three months (over $300) would be refunded once the Regional Center--whom I was working with--paid for my daughter's sessions. I agreed to pay upfront in good faith, fully expecting the refund once the third party handled the cost. After the Regional Center completed payment, the refund never came. I reached out multiple times over the course of a year, only to receive vague excuses about "budget issues." Eventually, it became clear that the owner had no intention of returning the money. This wasn't a delay--it was a blatant refusal. Holding onto funds that were supposed to be reimbursed feels unethical at best, fraudulent at worst. I cannot in good conscience recommend this gym to any family.

Our pianists really enjoys her lessons with Mr. Bill and our Ballerina with Ms. Emily. They take time with them while learning and keeping it fun. We look forward to the seasonal recitals.
