We took some young couples to the Memphis Escape Rooms in East Memphis and had a blast. The staff was very courteous and receptive and the room we were was really neat. It is ingenious how they create the stories and place the clues around the room. We did Shadow Manor and it was great! This is a great activity for couples or families (14 and over). Highly recommended.

This is our second venue in Memphis. It was challenging enough to be fun from start to finish. But not too challenging ....because my husband was able to contribute this time. Awesome setup and customer service, she was super sweet. Thank you for a memorable & unique date night!!

EPIC!!!! NAIL BITING FUN!!!! This was my first escape room experience. BOOK HERE: http://memphisescaperooms.com/pages/book-a-room What a rush!!!!! In most escape rooms around the world, you're given one hour to solve a series of clues, riddles, and puzzles to ultimately escape the room. While you're in the room, there is a timer counting down to the end, which really gets your adrenaline pumping. You're all detectives using various skill sets to uncover each clue. Skills include: Logic, analytical abilities, curiosity, intuition, and more. It uses ALL of your senses. As you solve one riddle, it leads you to the next. It's kind of like a scavenger hunt. The Memphis Escape Rooms allow up to seven people per group at $20 each. They're planning to have five different escape rooms at this location, using up to three rooms at a time. There's a "Mayflower Room," a "What's in the Box Room" is available, they're planning a "Halloween Room" and more. During my trip here, another group canceled at the last minute so we only had four people in our escape room. Most groups that escape have the full seven people. It's absolutely exhilarating!

I just escaped 'Magicians Code' - OMG our of over 15 rooms I have attempted to escape from this just jumped to the top of my favorite list!!! Amazing theming, awesome unique puzzles. Some rooms just feel the same (find this key, and this key and that key) - not this room - everything was fun to solve. If you like escape rooms you will love this one for sure!!!

Memphis Escape Room was an incredible amount of fun! I begin by explaining what the Escape Room is, since I was a little hazy on the details going in. Basically, escape room is a story puzzle. You and up to 6 other people are placed in a locked room with the objective being getting out of the room. The story puzzle we did, "What's in The Box," involved figuring out the combination to the lock on a box that, in the story, belonged to a recently deceased millionaire. In order to figure out the combination, the group must solve many many other puzzles which eventually lead to the correct combination. The catch is that you're not given a road map to follow. Just placed in the room and try to figure it out. A computer will give you clues along the way if you're off base. I went with my brother, his wife, and my friend visiting from out of town. Up to 7 people can play at the same time, so if your group doesn't use all 7 spots, other people may be in the group with you. Since we only had 4 people in my group, we had a couple join us. I loved this experience, since they were wonderful and contributed greatly to the puzzle solving process. The hour (50 min) went by so quickly since we were talking and actively thinking the entire time, and afterward we all really enjoyed de-briefing with the team and the guy who worked there (who was nice and engaging). The cost is $20 per person and I thought we definitely got our money's worth given the amount of fun we had. There are currently only two story puzzles, but they open a new one on Friday 9/25 and the guy said they're going to do a Halloween one as well. I will definitely be going back to do the rest of the stories. A final note, the place can be tricky to find since it's in an office building. From the parking lot, walk towards the building on June road. There's a stairway that leads to the bottom floor of the building. Go in the door and into the hall, it's on the left.

    Go Team Fast7!

Memphis Escape Room was totally fun and amazing! Like everyone else has said, this is a team effort and we had 7ppl to help. It came down to the wire and we Escaped with 1 min left! Go Team Fast7! Great for group outtings and to test how well you can work together. What a great add to Memphis life. #yelp901 . 2 rooms to work with now, can't wait for the additional 3 rooms in the works which will give us more challenges to come! #memphisescaperooms

    WE ESCAPED!! Can you??

Love this place!!! I had such a great time and had SO MUCH FUN!! I've been wanting to check this place out since it opened and finally went for my first but definitely not my last time. We did the "What's in the box" room and escaped! Honestly I was nervous at first and didn't think I was "smart" enough and had no idea what to expect. Then a friend invited me to go and I couldn't turn it down. You don't necessarily have to be "book smart" to do well and contribute to the escape, but you definitely have to use your brain. No real physical activity is involved. Teamwork also helps a lot. I plan on doing the Mayflower room next and then Parallax when it opens. The staff was super friendly and cool. After we escaped the room we got to just sit around and joke about the whole experience and ask plenty of questions. Don't hesitate to go if you're on the fence and if you have no interest I hope you change your mind and experience the thrill of the escape. As soon as the door closes...IT'S ON!

We so enjoyed our experience! The staff are very friendly. We somehow did not get all the instructions on where the exit was so we didn't realize we had escaped even when we did!! But it was a blast and will definitely go visit their other rooms! We escaped the Mayflower with a minute and fifty seconds left! They give you a number of clues (and hints if you get stuck!) to try to find your way out of the room. You have an hour to piece everything together and unlock the clues. Most rooms are for seven people, but the Halloween one I think is ten. We had a little trouble finding them but they said they are working on signs--just consider finding the office space your first mystery of the evening! Park in the dark parking lot, go down the dark stairs into the poorly lit building. It's sketchy but worth it! :)

This was awesome!! So much fun! And I'm super proud to say my group won the game with 55seconds to spare!! I forget the name of the room but it was the one where you're going after a serial killer. We'd heads about this kind of game in Nashville last year. So when we saw it was available in Memphis we knew we had to go. The rooms here sound great and we enjoyed the one we did. Not gonna lie it was frustrating but that's cause we missed a big clue for several minutes. We ended up needing lots of clues. But it was still exciting and great!! This is definitely something you should do.

We had a fabulous time at the Memphis Escape Rooms. We did the Atlas room and successfully finished it with 2 minutes and 29 seconds left. It challenging, but fair and solvable with the right amount of thought and effort. If you are looking for something fun to do in Memphis, then you should give Memphis Escape Rooms a try.

The best experience you can have with your friends and a great challenge for puzzle solvers. Looking forward to more rooms!

I have successfully escaped Mayflower and What's in the Box. Both rooms and the puzzles are great, and tell a very interesting story. Looking forward to escaping more rooms. It is a great value for the money at $20 a person. I do recommend booking the whole room with a group of 5 or more friends, or run the risk of being partnered up with other people. The staff is extremely friendly and are very creative in their designs. I will say the place is a bit difficult to find if you're unfamiliar with the area. It's an office building adjacent to an apartment complex, and is located at the bottom of a stairwell. The only signage is a small white sign in the grassy lot of the building. #ArtCo

In the Pandemic room, the sorted viles were 1) in the wrong order (this was confirmed by the employee overseeing our hints) and 2) the last number for the code wasn't in the right shape so it didn't show any number shape. They also used a crossword puzzle which isn't so bad if it's a one-and-done thing but crosswords were used not only in the Pandemic but also in the Crisis room which was overkill In the Crisis room, we immediately were able to unlock locks without the correct key (how this happened, I am not sure...) We also had yet ANOTHER crossword puzzle and were missing over half of the letters which made us have to ask the moderator for a hint which took off time for us to escape. Also, at the end, the correct code for the employee walking is through the ending didn't even work for her and the lock was jammed so even if we made it to the very end, there was no way to escape without the key.... The only complaint I have for the Caretaker room was that the papers in the fireplace didn't fall and there was like a matching puzzle that was just kinda dumb but other than that it was our favorite out of all the rooms! This place is GREAT and we love the experience but for a hefty $25 per person, I just except everything to be completely functional and working correctly. I do highly recommend this place tho!

I went tonight and it was awful. Nothing about it was scary at all. We got shoved into groups of up to 15 and it lade the experience awful. Last time it was pitch black and you literally had to feel your way through the maze. The front person held a glow stick for light and that was about it. It was pretty bad. Bad waste of money. I had fun with my friends but it's a huge waste of money. Do not go.

As of the time of this review it contains four haunts, one stand alone and the other is a three in one. ALL are fantastic! For $30 you get admission to one haunt but for a mere $5 more you get all four, so why wouldn't you do that? In fact for $15 more you get VIP line access to all four, which on a busy night would be totally with it! They make a conscious effort to distribute patrons between the two cues so wait time is minimized but of course on a busy night you could wait for a bit if you choose GA. Regardless, these are worth the wait. These are theater quality sets, with well trained acting staff, and professional makeup. We chose the behind the scenes tour for $70 per ticket which included VIP access to all four haunts, once we finished and the lights went out. I didn't know what to expect, but Ethan, who is the creative director, gave us our tour and it was also fantastic! We arrived about two hours prior to lights out with the tour start time scheduled to start at around 1.5 hours prior to lights out. Ethan started early and went long! We toured the main haunt and were shown things like how the scare boxes worked, the lighting, how the sets were built, he talked about the mechanics behind the sets, we saw makeup and costuming as the actors were getting ready as well as the workshop. He also walked us through the other three haunts albeit with less detail as opening was approaching! I'd been through professional haunts before so I knew they were high quality but I had absolutely no idea how much went into producing and running one! Very impressive. The tour is well worth it but at the very least you need to experience their work. Parking is good, well lit, monitored by MPD, security is employed starting in the parking lot so, while we went in the back door and bypassed all that, I could tell it was super safe.
