The staff are kind and caring while providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for everyone. There is always excellent communication with the management team, we highly recommend this location if you're looking for childcare in the area. All the teachers greet the children in and out of their own classrooms by name and with a positive attitude. We have had a great experience.

My 4th child began attending in 2018 and we noticed a sharp decline in the program, specifically the UPK program beginning in 2021. Some teachers were great, very caring and they put forth so much effort. However, some teachers should be fired or offered more training. The management seems to take complaints personally and targeted our child when we started raising concerns about his day to day activities. The owner refuses to respond to emails, lied to us numerous times and was cited by Albany County for not reporting multiple allegations of abuse raised by us. Thankfully another parent witnessed one of these abusive situations happening and reported it to Albany County. Heads up, the teacher accused of harming my child is still employed and working with little toddlers. You can find further violations at allegations at https://ocfs.ny.gov/programs/childcare/looking/ccfs-search.php And after being reported for abusive behavior towards my 4 year old, REFUSED to return our $500+ deposit when we unenrolled him.

Right now he goes to the Community Center and prior to that to the Gordon Creek site. Wendy is fantastic, she is very sensitive to each individual child's needs and wants. Chris Grubb is very accommodating and responsive to requests or to answer questions. He oversees the entire program, keeping in compliance and maintaining a safe environment for the children . He is particularly wonderful with the kids. There are always fun activities going on that the kids can choose from. The beautiful big gym with the new floor is great for the kids to exercise in when it is too cold to go outside to the playground at the center or around the corner at the Malta Ave school. The staff is medication certified which is also a great asset for children, like my son, who need routine medications. BACC is close to downtown so on special occasions or "adventure days" Chris and the staff organize walking trips for ice cream or pizza. I can't say enough good about the program. It is a true asset to the community.

The first time, we crafted fish sculptures using bottles, glue, fabric, and other materials. The second time the kids made hand puppets with socks, googly eyes, and crafting materials. Ginger was extremely patient, fun loving, and fostered a safe learning environment. The 6pm classes are only an hour and a half, but were laughed through most of it. We'll definitely come back for other Wednesday evening events, and will try to get to some of their weekend ones as well.
