Breakfast is included and although it isn't the biggest breakfast buffet, everyone will find something good and enjoyable. Even vegetarians Why not 5 star rating you say? Well, my room (no. 8) and about 7 others are situated a mere 100 cm from the restaurant and you feel that everyone can hear absolutely everything that goes on in your room. So if you visit with your spouse, girlfriend or boyfriend, then sex is out of the question. And for God's sake, no farting!!!

Well worth my one week stay…read more The hotel is basically brand new (opened in January 2016) with a modern touch, unique from all the other major hotel chains we all know. The theme of the hotel is all to do with winery and has a great collection of wine. They have their own branded wine that they make in-house. The hotel also has a beautiful lobby and bar area on the first floor. The rooms are beautifully laid, comfortable, and quiet, however, they are a little small. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have one of the good breakfast meals and are located in close proximity to the Mall of Scandinavia. You can also access the bus close by, but to get to the train, you'll have to get a taxi. You can also rent the bicycles they have to get around. The Winery Kitchen Restaurant on the first floor has a nice menu for dinner and you need to check it out when you stay here. They also have a pizza restaurant across from the check-in desk which really has awesome food and drinks. Of course, don't forget to sign up for the winery tour! They have a winery just behind the front desk and you can see the oak barrels used to store wine. You can always request to have the tour conducted in English. Overall, wife and I enjoyed our week's stay here.

The clientele is mainly business people so the hotels amenities is tailored towards this crowd. The tower has a total of 34 floors and the hotel uses the first 22 floors for hotelrooms and the 34th floor as a sky bar. I guess local businesses rent the other floors. The view from the hotell is good but boring. Kista hasn't exactly an exciting topography but you will get a tremendous view of the parking lot, some nearby office buildings and some small forrests areas. The best thing about this hotel is the breakfast. You'll find everything from egg, bacon and sausage, to different types of cheese, cold cuts, lots of cereals and fruits. I was planning to give this hotel a four star rating but since they have such a vast selection of organic options at the breakfast buffet they deserve the fifth star. Even the shampoo and shower gel is organic :-) Being responsible should always be rewarded! Note: if you want to visit Stockholm as a tourist this is not the hotel for you since it is situated way outside the city centre.

The hotel has good parking but looked like this is pay as you go, But lots of taxis outside if you don't have a car with you, there is also the possibility to loan a bike. The Sky bar on the 43Rd floor has to been tried, even if you don't like heights :-) A good restaurant that has a limited menu, but what they have is done well, Scandic hotels have had their menus designed by Mr Jamie Oliver (UK chef) The Menu is presented on a Ipad, this is the first time I have seen that (Cool) The breakfast (included in the price) has a great selection of hot and cold choices and was easy to get a seat. Two things that has troubled me since I have arrived: 1. You can't turn of the aircon in the room (thought I was back in the US) and it does not seem to matter what temperature you set it to its always cold and making a noise, To be fair I did not ask to have this fixed, (im used to it) 2. The WIFI network is a username / PW setup meaning every time your device goes to sleep or if you move from one Access point to the next, you have to login again :-( It`s 2012 WHY?? Apart from this, a super hotel, with friendly staff and a good atmosphere for such a large hotel (299 rooms) I will for sure use this hotel again next time I am in the area.

My only complaint was the lack of clothing drawers, and minimal closet space. Like, there was maybe 5 hangers with maybe 1 foot/25cm of width to hang clothes, and no luggage rack. That said, these were minor issues, and between the desk, and other surfaces, where was room to put our stuff out without putting it on the floor. The breakfast on the fourth floor every morning is fantastic. Not sure if every Swedish hotel does this or what, but there were multiple buffet stations, with every from eggs+bacon+pancakes, to a yogurt station, to an entire table of bread + butter, with multiple juices/coffee options, a separate fruit station, and the list goes on and on and on. The location is excellent if you want to go to the Friends Arena, or the Mall of Scandinavia (with lots of food options, both fast or sit-down, all of which are within easy walking distance. The Solna station (Pendeltag/commuter train system) is about a 12-15 minute walk away. Tip: Ignore Google Maps and walk through the Mall to get to the hotel if it's very cold outside. Bathrooms: They are bougie, with a nice design aesthetic, with plenty of bathroom countertop space to place things. Not sure what the other review was talking about with the shower compartment not being completely enclosed; our shower had a glass door, and minimal water spilled into the room. Oh oh! The flowers are heated! So nice.

It's also conveniently located next to public transport and my office. Rooms are nice with views specially on the upper floors. It's a very tall hotel with 25 floors. The only drawback is the absolute lack of closet space and the shower enclosure with nothing to stop water from splashing all over the bathroom floor. Staff are nice and there are restaurants on the 4th and 25th floor. I did not go to the 25th floor restaurant but did have breakfast at the other restaurant. As breakfast is always included get to the breakfast restaurant soon as it's a zoo after about 8am. Food is ok nothing special. I am sure I will be back here again. It's one of a handful of hotels close to my office in the area.
