Clearly this one did not grasp the concept she could be held personally liable for her ignorance. Lastly, she spent far more time arguing and refusing service to the man (for no mask) than she would have just taking care of his request. So, he spent much more time "maskless" inside than the alternative...serving virtually no purpose except to make your branch, management, and employees look ridiculous. The inside of the bank was clean and well organized. They offer free pens and lollipops. The Teller was readily helpful, more so because I did not have an account number. I can't speak to loans as I never took one from here. But the online/app/distant ATM experience has been increasingly frustrating for the last year or two. "Upgrade" should always be used in quotation marks no matter the business, but the bugs are ridiculous and this time around there's been no response to two requests to fix things. I no longer live in MA, but for the first year or so in my new neighborhood (and all over the country and the world), ATMs worked fine. Then in summer 2019, they (literally) overnight started rejecting transactions. The explanation was that the machines (not supported by Metro) didn't have the right security features, but they had the day before, so...? And this latest upgrade is so far not horrible, but at least two regular monthly transactions have changed or been dropped and I'm guessing my emails are waiting in a queue somewhere. Not worth it anymore.

I signed up for electronic statements at the time the account opened, and completed the criteria. I kept getting paper statements in the mail, I signed into my account and checked to make sure I signed up for paperless statements it was checked off that I get paperless statements. I realized in August it was way past the time where I should have gotten the bonus. I called 8/8 after receiving yet another paper statement in the mail, spoke to Dan and he said he could verify that I did indeed sign up for paperless statements and the system sometimes glitches like this and he would have his manager call me to make sure I got the bonus. The manager never called, so I called back on 8/11/26 and the manager Brian was extremely rude, and he lied and claimed I just signed up for paperless statements on 8/8/26 and therefore did not qualify for the bonus. I said that is NOT true did you speak to Dan? Because he verified on 8/8 that I did indeed sign up for paperless statements months ago. He kept talking over me and told me that wasn't true and I just signed up for it on 8/8. They do this to avoid paying you the bonus they lure you to sign up with. Absolutely criminal. I wish I'd taken a screen shot of when I signed up to show I did choose paperless statements but who would expect a supposedly reputable bank to rip you off like this. Add to it their AI system Chelsea is horrible, wait times to speak to a human are ridiculous and the AI system makes it all but impossible to speak to a human being. I transferred out all my money today 8/11 and will be closing my account and leaving this 100% honest account of what happened everywhere and anywhere I can to warn others to avoid this crooked bank that lies to you and rips you off. My Rockland Trust debit card information was stolen and used by someone in another state to make a…read morepurchase of nearly $1,000.00 I was sent a text message from Rockland Trust on that day asking me if I made this purchase, to which I replied "NO", and the card was subsequently frozen and my account was given a provisional credit for that $1,000.00 fraudulent purchase. Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

Instead of sending to my address, they sent the checks to the addresses on each property as they are in trusts. I never got the checks so we had to cancel all three accounts. The manager told me to cancel, but he neglected to tell me once I close an account, I will not have access to any information. It seems foolish to me that this should be the case. As a result, I had a difficult time doing my taxes with no access. They printed out statements which did not include checks. So we wasted more time going back to get copies of cashe checks. What a mess and waste of time!!! 2. I was looking for a retirement account which was on record. When I asked them about it, they said I had closed it with a couple of thousand dollrs in there. When I produced a copy of account opening form and an additional check, they said that was closed too. Hmmm, still waiting to hear from them. It was not at this branch. I don't want to metnion the particular branch.
