Yesterday was the last time I will be visiting the Citizens Bank Chelsea MA location. There were…read moreten people in line, two tellers and 5 people walking around in the back chatting. The woman in front of me mentioned this happens to her everyday when she comes in for a business account. It should be closed down for wasting peoples' time, sloth-like behavior and lack of customer service. IF they don't respect customers time, they don't respect our money. I walked out after the line didn't move for ten minutes. I will blame myself for stupidity if I ever walk in there again. Arrivederci

Regarding the incident with the disabled man at your bank today: Your teller should be terminated…read morefor the way she addressed him. Specifically, telling him to be quiet and "You just need to leave". Maybe you could do a better job training your employees on the dynamic between a customer and an employee. The employee's job is to serve the client, not order them around, insult, belittle etc. In addition, an employee should not be making statements of "fact" about subjects they know nothing about. Clearly this one did not grasp the concept she could be held personally liable for her ignorance. Lastly, she spent far more time arguing and refusing service to the man (for no mask) than she would have just taking care of his request. So, he spent much more time "maskless" inside than the alternative...serving virtually no purpose except to make your branch, management, and employees look ridiculous. Do your "militarized" guardlike staff believe it makes sense that the unmasked children next to him were safe, as well as everyone else around them because they were younger? Thanks for being a perfect representation of all that is insane with the world right now.

She took the time to clearly explain every detail of the account opening process, making sure I fully understood all the options available to me without ever feeling rushed. What really stood out was her level of care and follow-up. About a week after opening my account, Alicia personally reached out to check in and ensure everything was running smoothly. That level of customer service is rare nowadays and truly made a difference. She was patient, detail-oriented, and always willing to go the extra mile to answer my questions and provide guidance. It's clear that she takes pride in her work and genuinely cares about her clients' experience.Because of Alicia, the entire process was smooth, stress-free, and even enjoyable. I highly recommend working with her if you're looking for someone trustworthy, professional, and dedicated to excellent service.

The inside of the bank was clean and well organized. They offer free pens and lollipops. The Teller was readily helpful, more so because I did not have an account number. My transaction was quick and easy. Kudos to a well staffed bank. I give TD Bank a Solid 4 Stars.

I can't speak to loans as I never took one from here. But the online/app/distant ATM experience has been increasingly frustrating for the last year or two. "Upgrade" should always be used in quotation marks no matter the business, but the bugs are ridiculous and this time around there's been no response to two requests to fix things. I no longer live in MA, but for the first year or so in my new neighborhood (and all over the country and the world), ATMs worked fine. Then in summer 2019, they (literally) overnight started rejecting transactions. The explanation was that the machines (not supported by Metro) didn't have the right security features, but they had the day before, so...? And this latest upgrade is so far not horrible, but at least two regular monthly transactions have changed or been dropped and I'm guessing my emails are waiting in a queue somewhere. Not worth it anymore.

Metro contacted me and told me I needed flood insurance. I purchased $70,000 in flood insurance. I got a letter from them that they accepted my insurance at the amount I purchased. Banking rules and FEMA rules both state that financial institutions cannot make you purchase more insurance than you could owe them. A year later Metro contacted me and told me I needed to purchase $500,000 in flood insurance. I sent them copies of the banking rules. They didn't care. I asked to speak to the underwriters that made this change. They refused to let me speak to anyone with authority over this unfair business practice. While I was trying to work with them they purchased the $500,000 policy at my expense. I had no choice but to refinance with another credit union who confirmed there was no need to purchase more than I owed them. I believe Metro intentionally forced me out because mortgage rates had risen to 7% and they weren't making enough profit on me. Unfair business practices against banking rules. I was with them for over 10 years. Beware of this institution, they are crooks. I'd rate them -10 if I could.

Fast forward 3 months later, and the provisional credit I had been given was then RESCINDED by Rockland Trust, and I was told they had been given "proof" by the merchant where the fraudulent transaction occurred that it was not fraudulent, despite the fact that the bank itself CONTACTED me that day when the purchase was made as they suspected it to be fraudulent. Now Rockland Trust is telling me there is "nothing more we can do", despite having already being able to provide me a credit for the fraudulent purchase that they TOLD me about the moment it happened. I will very likely be taking my business elsewhere entirely and never banking here again because of this complete failure, on Rockland Trust's part, to protect me and my financial security despite every indication and piece of evidence they had to do so.

Instead of sending to my address, they sent the checks to the addresses on each property as they are in trusts. I never got the checks so we had to cancel all three accounts. The manager told me to cancel, but he neglected to tell me once I close an account, I will not have access to any information. It seems foolish to me that this should be the case. As a result, I had a difficult time doing my taxes with no access. They printed out statements which did not include checks. So we wasted more time going back to get copies of cashe checks. What a mess and waste of time!!! 2. I was looking for a retirement account which was on record. When I asked them about it, they said I had closed it with a couple of thousand dollrs in there. When I produced a copy of account opening form and an additional check, they said that was closed too. Hmmm, still waiting to hear from them. It was not at this branch. I don't want to metnion the particular branch.
