During the surgery the dental hygienists…read moreargued during the procedure about how to complete the procedure and were very unprofessional. After the surgery my son had the normal amount of swelling but unfortunately it didn't go away. My son went back to Dr. Voutsas' office and was told that the lumps in my son's neck must have already been present before the surgery and that he must have mono so he should go to our family doctor. My son was put on antibiotics after the surgery as well as another round when he went back to the office. After the last appointment there was no follow-up from his office. My son went to his family doctor and it was confirmed for that his lymph nodes were still swollen with an ultrasound. He was then referred to an ENT who stated that Dr. Voutsas did not provide adequate after care from the procedure and that the swelling in his face will not go down for another five or so years. If you have a teen that does not want to deal with facial swelling for an extended amount of time DO NOT go to Dr. Voutsas for oral surgery!!!

From the initial visit to the end of the surgery, Dr. Voutsas is an excellent surgeon and was very pleasant, walking me through the whole procedure explaining everything to a tee! It took 16 months to complete what Dr. Yarmand started. My request to do procedures under local…read moreanesthesia was declined by Dr. Yarmand in favour of IV without explanation. While removing one tooth, he destroyed two more adjacent teeth. When leaving his office, I was given the statement. Later on when I was back to my normal state of mind, I looked into the statement. The amount charged to my credit card was different from what I paid before the procedure. This second payment was charged without my authorization. The amount for bone regeneration increased from $820 to $ 1050. Also, the statement showed another "bone regeneration" the Dr. Yarmand claimed has been done, although there were no cuts, stitches or threads in that place of my mouth. To extract destroyed teeth and complete the project, I went to another surgeon. Unlike Dr. Yarmand, this other Doctor performed all procedures under local anesthesia as I requested. He did not request a one-thousand- dollar deposit before the procedure. Payments were taken only upon the completion of each procedure. For each procedure, he charged amounts the same as on the estimates. Every time, my credit card was charged in front of me. The price for each implant was 20% lower than with Mr. Yarmand. To follow-up on the second version of Dr. Yarmand response. 1. Dr. Yarmand declined my specific request for local anaesthesia in favour of IV ($680+$60). Regarding, "IV sedation comfort", the nurse tried to insert a needle into my vein 3 times. Then, she called for help another nurse who was able to get into my vein on her 2nd attempt. 2. According to the 1-st payment receipt, my credit card was charged at 9:18 a.m. in front of me before the procedure. According to the 2nd payment receipt, my credit card was charged 2nd time with different amount (to replace the 1st charge) at 12:16 p.m. without my knowledge while I was still in the operating area. According to the wall clock in the operating area, I left this area at 12:22 p.m.( 6 min after my card was charged). 3. When I asked Dr. Yarmand about my destroyed teeth he did not apologize, did not express regret about the damage he did to me. I was in shock. I couldn't discuss anything with him anymore. To replace destroyed teeth with implants, I paid $10K to another surgeon.

On Friday, they called me about the time of surgery, I said, I decided not to have it done. Want to cancel the surgery, they said, then your $500 will not be returned. If ANYBODY is looking for the GREATEST oral surgeon in the country.....I promise you it is Dr…read more Lesley David. I have been going to her for years because I was referred to her as a critical case with many complications and very little hope. I had all my teeth extracted and other surgeons had told me that even dentures would be an unlikely possibility for me. It took some surgeries and tremendous care, time, and brilliance, but Dr. David restored my teeth (and my life). I now have complete dental implants on top and bottom (with a titanium rod) sustaining them. It has been years since I had them done and nothing has gone wrong. If ever there are minor adjustments needed...she is so kind, compassionate, and solves the issue effortlessly. When you are in her presence, you instantly feel at ease and reassurance. She is gentle, kind, and most importantly, she is exceptionally gifted in her line of work. I am studying to write the bar this November and would have never been able to get to this point if it hadn't been for her. She will change your life...please trust my words. If it's quality and true expertise you want, you want Dr David!!!!! I hardly ever leave reviews, but i personally feel her excellence should be universally acknowledged and appreciated!! Jana

My dentist was not available and referred me to Dr David. I was able to get an appointment within a few days and the procedure was over much quicker than I could have imagined! She was really friendly and explained everything and her staff were great too. They offer the option of sedation or gas but I am a tough cookie (but I better not eat any tough cookies for a while!) and just went with regular freezing since I don't have medical insurance. All in all I was pleasantly surprised, not something you expect to say after dental surgery! Conveniently located steps away from Davisville subway too.
