When I called in to tell them they could removed that quote and cancel auto, but my current HOI needed to remain, they cancelled everything. I have been calling for 2 weeks to have my policy reactivated as they were never approved to cancel it. They have zero sense of urgency and give me attitude every time I call. When I ask for escalation, I get zero follow up calls. The hoops I am having to jump through to fix their mistake is ridiculous. Calling the main customer service and escalation line does nothing and they keep trying to route me back to the branch. Unacceptable.

Transferred all of my policies (Home, Auto, Boat, and Jewelry) to the Jay Killen State Farm office…read morein 2020. At times the office assistants seem unknowledgeable, but they are always professional and usually get the requested tasks accomplished. My bigger complaint is the constant rate increases, for perfect drivers (ZERO accidents, tickets, or claims in over 20 years!). On top of the rate increases (the most recent is 15% at renewal) my agent offers garbage excuses for the gouging like: "electric vehicles cost more to repair". Well I don't own those, nor have I collided with one, so why am I being penalized? Also, does State Farm really want me to believe these costs have increased specifically in conservative South Carolina? I would bet there are Waaayyyyy less Teslas, Lucids, and Rivians here in SC per capita than most other places, so that shouldn't be impacting my premiums! The final straw; When I asked Jay Killen directly why I should continue doing business with him, his exact, verbatim response: "If that's truly how you feel, I'm not sure why you should stay." I've started getting quotes and intend on leaving Killen's office before the month is over!!! Maybe State Farm should stop paying the Kansas City Chiefs for advertising and spend that money on more customer centric agents? Either way, Jay Killen will be in the rear-view mirror!

I switched to this Allstate agency based on a written proposal that appeared competitively priced…read moreacross multiple policies. Unfortunately, after signing, the actual billing didn't align with what I was quoted. Despite reaching out over a dozen times for clarification, I received vague, shifting explanations--and no one ever took clear ownership of the issue. Even more frustrating: the agency principal, Kevin Godfrey, never once contacted me directly throughout this process. If you're someone who values a relationship with your agent or expects them to be engaged when problems arise, you should look elsewhere. Every interaction was handled by office staff, even escalation requests directed to Kevin were essentially ignored. I spent over a month asking for an explanation about the pricing differences, the only detailed answer I ever received came in a letter from Kevin--but it wasn't sent to me. It was written in response to my formal complaint to the state Department of Insurance. I was told the agency would assist in canceling my prior coverage to ensure a smooth transition--but that follow-through never happened. In fact, the only reason I avoided a coverage lapse was because my previous insurance agent, noticing my payment was overdue, proactively reached out to check on me. That's what a professional relationship looks like. It made the lack of engagement from this Allstate agency even more disappointing--especially since the agent I was now relying on never once contacted me directly throughout the entire process. I've since moved to a different Allstate agent and am actively shopping for other providers. This process raised serious concerns about follow-through, pricing integrity, and responsiveness. If you're considering this agency, I recommend asking for every quote detail in writing, confirming discount eligibility in advance, and being prepared to advocate for yourself.

Then, just 2 months later we get charged an additional $1,700 for the homeowners policy due which we were never contacted about by the agency. Talk about "shady" business practices.
