I checked out this hidden little cafe today - I actually was only looking for a light bite to eat so didn't have the full experience. If you didn't know it was here, I reckon you'd easily miss it - it's kind of hidden away in Elmbank Gardens but I'm sure it's popular with the office workers nearby.
I grabbed a can of juice (oops) and then asked what their gluten free options were. The guy working was very friendly, helpful and knowledgable and I really appreciated him taking the time to tell me what I might be able to have. At this time of day (2.30pm) they only really had salad left which I didn't fancy, and he mentioned the soup of the day was chicken and barley (meaning that wasn't GF) which was helpful. So I ended up just getting the drink (80p) and went on my merry way. I'd definitely pop back as they actually have a nice sized seating area inside and I was impressed with the chipper staff.
They do nice sounding specials and prices are really reasonable for city centre/Charing Cross area - £4 for a pulled pork ciabatta (or £5 with soup). read more
