This was such a fun and unique store! I have to be honest, I've never had the need to get any shoes…read morerepaired, but I did need to get a new set of keys, which gave me an excuse to stop in. Well, I can definitely say that I'm glad I did! The store was (obviously) full of all kinds of shoes, most of which were old-fashioned, but a few of which were new-school and from the 21st century. They had mainly dress shoes made of leather, but also some high-quality work boots and tennis shoes. I loved looking at all of the cool machines, none of which I had ever seen before! All of the staff members were very nice, and let me get a close-up look at them working their craft. The lady who cut my keys was very nice as well, and was kind enough to chat with me about the store for a few minutes. All-in-all, even though I didn't need to get my shoes repaired, this was an awesome shop that I loved walking around in for a little while. I'd recommend anybody else in the area do the same!

1 out of 5 stars I…read moredropped off my girlfriend's purse here to be repaired as a surprise for her and it turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a business. It's been over two weeks, and not only did they not fix the purse, they somehow "lost" it for days and never once called to update me. I had to keep calling and stopping by just to get any kind of answer. When I finally went in person, the purse was right there untouched, sitting exactly how I left it. No repairs, no effort, no communication. Then, to make things worse, the woman at the counter tried to act like it was my fault. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was honestly unbelievable. They might be fine when it comes to repairing shoes, but they clearly have no clue what they're doing with purses and even less when it comes to customer service. This was supposed to be something thoughtful for someone I care about, and instead, it was a complete disappointment. If you value your time, your belongings, or your peace of mind, take your business somewhere else. This place is careless, unorganized, and simply not worth the stress.

I tried taking a backpack to Jackie's right next door to shoe repair to fix replace a zipper slide…read more(the rest of the zipper was in great condition) and they wouldn't take it but referred me to Bobby's. Brought the backpack in on a Tuesday, paid $14, and they told me the backpack would be ready the following Tuesday. I came back on Wednesday and it wasn't ready. They told me to come back the following Tuesday.... two weeks to fix a zipper. I thought about just taking it and doing it myself but I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting my money back because they have such an old system and I paid with a card. At the time I was in the store, they had lost a woman's shoes (she said it was her 4th time in the store and her shoes were supposed to be ready Monday..) and by the time I left, they still hadn't found them. I'm giving a 2 star because the young man who helped me was polite but that seems like it's the only thing going for them in my situation (I don't doubt that people have had great experiences here and have gotten their shoes on time). Also, I do believe they are just swamped in work and don't have enough people repairing shoes. I also think the place is unorganized because of the same reason of them being understaffed (there are shoes everywhere). I actually semi-like that about the place. It definitely feels local which I appreciate. But if places like this want to stay open, they are going to need to get it together. Update: came back the following Wednesday (instead of Tuesday, giving an extra day..) And they asked me to give them 30 minutes for them to fix it. Because it still wasn't done. Came back an hour later, wasn't finished (yeah, I'm not kidding). I asked for my backpack and a refund and after the boy went back to talk to them, they said it would be done in a few minutes if I would wait. I waited 25 minutes and finally received the backpack with the zipper, though it's tough to use now and doesn't slide easily. Just glad to have the backpack finally.

Zero stars. Dropped off four pairs of heels. They said a week. I gave it 10 days. They couldn't…read morefind my shoes. I spotted two on the rack. They asked me to come back 4 hours later. They found the other shoes but they weren't done. Said two days. Went back 5 working days later to this sign (on Tuesday). Went back on Wednesday. Still locked up. Sign still up. That's four trips to pick up. Still NO SHOES! Never again.
