The negative: Every manager and/or assistant manager we have encountered here for over many years has been rude in their interactions with us. Answers to our queries are short and without a smile or pleasant comments. They've also not acknowledged us as customers if the associate has a question regarding our items at checkout. Very surprising that a Christian company would consistently employ miserable people in the managerial position. What kind of an example are they to the public of a joyful follower of Christ? And if they aren't a Christian, perhaps Hobby Lobby should be reconsidering who they hire to represent their company.

The prices are average, not over-priced, and the staff is absolutely excellent at helping you find the best tools for you! I was looking at paints one day, not really sure what brands were the best or worst, and as I was going to check out, the lovely older gentleman of the staff actually helped me find a type of paint that was cheaper than what I had picked out yet would still work perfectly for what I wanted. He helped me save money and gave me some useful information, not to mention that he and the other staff members are always very friendly! I love making trips down to Artware!

One of the employees assisted and because the paperwork was messed up the owner said loudly and with a tone "there are too many hands in the pot". The employee and artist looked flabbergasted and I was shocked at the way the owner handles herself. Although the store has alot of supplies not found in craft stores, what I went for the employee stated they were out of stock of 5 items for watercolor. The staff was extremely nice, but because of the owners personality I will not be returning.

I loved strolling down the aisles to see what would inspire me even though I truly wanted to make a beeline directly to the pens, pens, pens. I picked up a couple of calendars that were the perfect balance of art yet practical. The colors were so vibrant and will definitely make the perfect gifts, if I am even able to part with them. Well I eventually made it over to the pens as they are closest to the register and exit.
