She has advanced her education and knows quite a bit about the musculoskeletal system and knows what to do for that achy area, whether is back, neck or legs. My wife loves high-end massage spots, but I'm fine with basic amenities as long as the massage is…read moregood. However, THIS establishment is a waste of time and money. From the start, things went downhill. The girl on the phone was extremely rude, which made my wife back out (wise woman). I decided to push through and still set up my appointment. When I arrived, it was the same rude girl at the front desk. After a curt check-in, she left me alone in a room for 15 minutes. To my shock, just take a wild guess who the "masseuse" was for the evening? You guessed it - Front Desk Girl! Within minutes, it was clear she had zero professional experience. Her technique was nonexistent--just a one-handed rub with no applied pressure or deep tissue technique, despite my request for it. I had to ask her to focus on my neck and shoulders, and even then, it felt like an amateur and annoyed effort. The session was so bad I almost ended it early but didn't want to hurt her feelings. Now like I said earlier, I'm extremely understanding and have low expectations when visiting these storefront spots. So I normally would just chalk this up to one of those "you get what you pay for" moments, & left it at that. Not even a Yelp review! But it was this crazy TIPPING situation that was the last straw. Despite the terrible massage, I agreed to leave a $15 tip, but when she saw this, she politely asked if I could give her $20. Again, in an effort to be a nice guy, I reluctantly agreed to leave $20. At this point I just wanted to leave. But when she handed me the receipt, she had added an additional $2 transaction fee without informing me. When I pointed it out, she insisted on the fee, stating "Next time, pay cash." This was the final nail in the coffin for me. It was in THAT moment that I decided to write this review. At this moment, I laughed out loud and said, "No ma'am. $20 is all I'm paying." At which point, she gave me a cold hard stare for about five seconds before rolling her eyes and processing my transaction. In summary, DO NOT waste your money or time here. The experience was unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. And please don't fall for the fake 5-star reviews left on their page!

I went into SageKat expecting what I've received at every other massage place, but oh was I wrong…read more Although I'm young I've been in pain for quite sometime, yet nothing I do and no masseuse could truly make me feel better for longer than an hour. Kathy really took care of me, not only with the massage itself, but all the knowledge she gave. She gave me techniques and stretches to help with all of my concern areas. Throughout my experience she really showed how much she actually cared. Kathy really went into every aspect she could to get me to actually start feeling better and not be in pain everyday. I can't tell you how relieved I am to finally have found someone who has taken care of me the way she did. I'm truly thankful to have found SageKat, I would be in so much pain if I hadn't. This will be the number one place I will recommend to everyone.

I've already told my friends about how great SageKat was and how much I enjoyed my massage. I've…read morealready recommended her and have two who want to go. I've itemized what sums up my experience. 1. Massage itself: For starters, I'm a big guy. If a big guy is worried about a lady not being able to work them hard enough, don't worry. Kathy can do anything anyone else can do. It isn't just about raw strength, but precision and hitting the places perfectly along with the right amount of pressure. You can push as hard as a bull, but if you're not hitting the spots perfectly, it's a waste of time. A couple of times, I jumped and asked, what was that? Some muscle buried in a mass, was hurting bad, and she found it and made it better. 2. Care: I felt that Kathy really cared, and it came across. She wasn't just going through the motions, watching the clock, and when it rang, ready for the next. This is a very important trait for me because when a person cares about you as a person and their work, it makes a big difference. 3. Informative: I learned a lot from just listening and what I heard was very interesting. She kept me informed on what was going on, why things were being worked and the hopeful outcome. I was instructed on stretches which would help my problems. 4. Atmosphere: This isn't a big thing, but I liked seeing the aurora borealis on the wall and stars on the ceiling. 5 Recommendation: Yes, totally! I give her as high a recommendation as is possible. Conclusion: I went into there in very bad shape. My muscles had been severely overworked and outside of a few muscle groups, I'd been in pain from head to toe for at least four weeks. I walked out of the room with the biggest smile on my face and felt happy. I don't know if a good massage can release a crazy amount of endorphins, but that what it felt like happened. I had a "joker" grin on my face for two hours afterwards. I felt great. I'm writing this two days later, and my muscles are sore from the massage, but my range of motion and spring in my step is much better and I'm looking forward to working out tonight to see how much better I feel. I generally don't write reviews, especially not this long, but I feel strongly about my great experience with Kathy and SageKat Massage and wanted to pass it on. Thank you, Kathy, for being wonderful!
