It took us a few moments of window browsing to realize that this was an old-school seller of vinyl records, so we sent in to take a look. To say it was like a walk down memory lane is an understatement. The place is reminiscent of the old records stores you remember from the past with bins lining the walls and aisles full of albums sorted by artist. Music memorabilia adorn the walls and every genre was represented - certainly a great way to kill an hour just remembering when you last held this, or that, album. Prices were surprisingly affordable, in my opinion. The only downside I have is that I no longer have a record player available. Definitely a place for you if you are, or know, an audiophile. Some of the books looked old and rare. I recognized Hardy Boy books back from my mothers childhood stash. There is also an entire room filled with collectibles and comics. I didn't need any help but the friendly gentleman running the store that day was at the ready to answer questions. Hard and soft cover books are half off whatever they are priced at on the inside cover. They had a great election of Agatha Christie mysteries which are always a favorite. In a time when so many independent book stores have gone under it was a pure delight to discover Book Exchange and Comic Shop. The intoxicating smell of the store is familiar to anyone who loves books. You can order books online but there is something so satisfying about going into a bookstore and holding the books in your hands as you make your decision. Visiting this store is a great way to save money as you add to TBR pile.

We are a Hispanic family, and we visited this Book Center, interested in purchasing a few new books…read morefor my kids. From the onset, we were stared at when we walked in rather than being welcomed in. We were followed around the entire time we were there. We were quietly walking around browsing, but it felt awkward the way we were being stared at (and not in a friendly manner) the whole time we were there. Other customers at the store (non-Hispanic) were not being treated this way. Discrimination at its finest, we felt and saw it. We quietly left the store to never return again. We always spend hundreds of dollars every quarter purchasing new books, and not a penny will be spent at this store. The Book Depot nearby was a much more pleasant experience.
