This place is absolutely delicious. Cannot express enough. Need to try this place out! Small but delicious meals! The tostones were so good along with the chicharron. The rice and beans were simple but so good. Hits the spot ! You can also sub the rice and beans for salads if you like as well. The sampler appetizer was good, had sausage, chicharron, tostones, sausage, potatoes with sides of sauces. The beef and cheese empanada was good. The empanada on the sampler was a veggie one just FYI! Staff was so friendly! Drinks were pretty good here as well. The best dessert was the churros rolled in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with chocolate with a side of vanilla ice cream! Who knew sipping a churro in vanilla ice cream would be so dang good. I have always ordered takeout from here and really liked their picada* (explained below) I am temporarily living in east boston so I wanted to try this place in person. I came by myself and was later joined by my boyfriend. However, I wasn't sure if he was coming or not. Regardless, that doesn't stop me from trying out a restaurant by myself which I have done many times. Upon arriving, I was greeted in spanish which is fine. I said it was just me. They wanted to seat me at a small table and I asked if I can sit at the bigger table and they were hesitant. Mind you, it was empty. If it was busy I would understand why they didnt want me to take up a larger table. Also, when I try out a restaurant, I always order a lot of food. I was seated by one person then the other waitress didnt even pay me any attention until the person who seated me called her over (again empty restaurant). I heard them talk amongst each other "oh its just her". Sorry but I actually understand spanish so let me just keep speaking in english to see how their service is. The waitress comes over and I ordered the picada. The smallest size this dish comes in is for 2 so its large for 1 person and I know this because I have ordered this for takeout many times. The waitress kept questioning if I was sure I want it. I said I could always take it home. She hesitantly takes my order. I was not offered water either, I had to ask for it. The food was good but I am so disappointed in the service. As a solo diner, I expect the same service whether my bill was going to be big or small and if they knew I was a foodie, they probably wouldn't have treated me that way. With that being said, sorry Melodias, you have lost my business for good. Parking is just street parking. Loved this authentic Colombian restaurant. It's just a hole in the wall but the food, service, and ambiance was excellent.

Very cozy spot with great food and service. We had brunch/breakfast and everything was delicious. The arepas were tasty; the empanadas were extremely fresh and crunchy; a perfect bite with a little pique or lime. We had a great breakfast with carne asada and eggs as well as frijoles. Eggs were cooked perfectly to everyone's liking. The jugo de mora was really well prepared. I will definitely make it a point to stop in next time I am in Boston. read more

Such good Colombian food. My fiancee and I happened upon it, ate incredible chicharron, sausage, calamari, platanos, yucca and empanadas, drank delicious sangrias, and finished the meal with one of the best flans I've ever eaten. This is a newer place that replaced a pretty good restaurant. Melodias prices are higher and the portions are smaller. The food is alright but it's honestly not that great, there are a lot better places to eat in East Boston and I won't waste my time coming here again. read more

After driving by this place for past several months I decided to stop in for dinner tonight. Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The menu is Colombian and the bar serves beer and wine. The sangria I ordered was very good. The restaurant has a cool vibe and is has more seating than what it looks like from outside. Menu has a wide range of Colombian dishes. I ordered the Carne Asada which came with rice, beans, and sweet plantains. Food was legit and delicious. A really good sized piece of steak cooked just right. I would recommend checking this place out and giving it a shot. Parking is tough given the location of the busy road but it's worth visiting. Prices are reasonable and food is really good. Will go back for sure read more

Their food is insanely good. Had streak, beans, rice and sweet plantains. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Finished my meal off with their caramel infused churros and ice cream. The dessert was amazing. I dream about it till this day. I can't wait to go back. read more

This was my second time to this restaurant, which is why I'm giving them 2 stars, since my first visit I received excellent service. Something I value when eating out is customer service. This place has only 1 nice waitress. Unfortunately the second time I visited I was not greeted by her but instead another one that sat us down in a table we did not want to be seated, and when we asked to be moved, she gave us this ridiculous story of not moving to a bigger tackle as it was "peak hours" and a weekend. It was 2 pm on a Saturday and it was NOT busy at all, almost empty. We sat for a few mins and then we left. Sorry even if the food was good, I expect a well rounded service to visit a restaurant. read more
