She is good at listening and her use of the massage gun on my left hip and back and gluts did wonders today! I am really pleased with the results in just two visits and I look forward to my future sessions. I signed up for two 50 min sessions a month for three months and after that it becomes a monthly contract. I booked my sessions about two weeks ago as I know I will make time for me when I put myself on my schedule. They are open on weekends and I like to go after a long run or race to help with recovery. I even received homework of videos to watch and stretch with, so I put that on my daily calendar to make it a good habit. After all, a Tae Kwon Do instructor told me many moons ago that "Aging is the gradual loss of flexibility" so Stretch lab is helping me to stay young!

First the good news…read more.. I've had appointments with 3 different therapists and all were great. My mobility and flexibility have steadily improved over the last three months while my pain has decreased. Now the bad news... Your "membership" will include credits for some number of visits per month. Those credits will expire at the end of the month, so use 'em or lose 'em. If you need to suspend your membership for whatever reason (e.g. I travel a lot), StretchLab will charge you $15 to suspend your account and not lose any existing credits. I signed up for a 3 month membership and planned to continue my membership but reduce my visits from 4 per month to 2 per month. However, StretchLab charged my card automatically for an additional 4 visits in the next month. When I called and mentioned I had signed up for a 3 month membership, I was informed that monthly renewals occur automatically and require a 31 day notice to end the membership. It's a good service, but caveat emptor. UPDATE: thanks for your response, Shannon. However, at the onset I agreed to four visits per month for three months. I did not consent to ongoing charges. This is an excerpt from the email sent to me by StretchLab at the beginning of my term: AGREEMENT DETAILS (3) x **Four 50 Minute Stretches per Month This is misleading and your potential customers deserve to know.

I used to do Pilates for years but had a break since Covid so I'm getting back in the swing of things. I highly recommend this class to get introduced to the movements. As for the studio, it's new and cute. Reformology offers free parking to its patrons. I had the opportunity to meet the studio's owner and she is very kind. She took the time to give me a tour of the studio as today was my first visit. Right now Reformology Pilates is offering quite a few specials so if you are new to Pilates or are looking for a new studio to try out, I highly recommend this location.

This is a review for the pool…read more The pool at the WoodPEC is a glorious olympic-sized indoor masterpiece! I normally do not like indoor pools because of how humid and warm it usually gets and will opt for the outdoor pools for this reason. However, because I spend about an hour in the pool each day, outdoor pools wreck havoc on my skin. I am happy to say that this pool is the best of everything. The pool water is kept at a cool temperature and the ambient temp is not bad either. Another thing I love about this pool is that is does not get too crowded. Some nights, water polo or masters swimmers take lanes 6+ and the kids swim teams take up to lane 3. At these times, there are only 2 or 3 lap swim lanes open and that is kind of annoying, but I think that only happens 2 nights out of the week. Other things to note: - Kickboards and pull buoys are available to the public in large bins close to the guard chair. They also have those back brace floaty things... I don't really know what they're called but people use them to do water aerobics. There is a limited supply of kickboards and pull buoys, so they may run out if there are lots of people in the pool. - There is some natural lighting, but most of the lighting comes from huge overhead lights. There are no lights embedded in the walls of the pool, but the overhead lights are adequate. - Lifeguards are super friendly. - Locker room is quite small but it is generally empty unless the kids' swim teams just let out. Then it is packed with running (sometimes crying) children. There are 4 showers stalls with curtains for privacy, including a handicap shower stall. There are an additional 3 or 4 showers without privacy curtains. - You can "rent" a day locker outside of the women's locker room by trading your Emory ID for a locker key at the equipment desk.

About the facility itself, it hosts machines and free weights (like any gym), an Olympic-sized pool, rock-climbing wall, basketball court, tennis courts, as well as other facilities I can't think of right now. The people who have access to this gym have a great life! Haha. Other tidbits: - Free parking available in the ramp across the street after 4 pm. - They play hip-hop music in the weight room.

I love the owners,…read moreMatt and Nick, and I appreciate that they brought their approach to yoga to Atlanta (they also have a studio in Athens.) I have my favorite teachers and work to attend their classes as much as I can. For me, the membership plan is worth it if you can attend at least 6 classes a month. (Some people come every day! Multiple times a day!) I mostly attend Hatha classes but I also enjoy Flow and Super Stretch. The stretch, yin and restorative classes are the most beginner friendly. I've only attended a few warm/hot classes and they are not my jam. However, they are very popular with others! M3 is LGBTQIA friendly and has a policy against racism posted on their website. I haven't seen any other studio display such a message. As a Black woman, I notice when I'm the only Black person in the room, and I appreciate when someone else who looks like me is present and welcome in the space. (I don't want to be the only one y'all!) They have an app to use for scheduling and a very active IG page. They also have contests to encourage class attendance and give good prizes! I won a gift card to a local store and felt so special. The only thing I don't like is the class schedule changing every season. Some classes don't change but I've had to drop some classes because they are on a new day or at a different time. I can't believe that I'm the first person to review M3. It's a great addition to Atlanta yoga and I hope more people sing their praises.
