Prescribed me medication. I didn't do well in that medication so he quickly prescribed a different medication. He also ordered blood tests. His staff called me with results.....all she said was everything was normal. No explanation, just if I wanted to see the results I could go to the patient portal. Never followed up to see if meds were working. I requested a refill on meds from previous doctor who had moved away. Requested prescription be sent to my Champ VA Meds by Mail. They sent prescription Walgreens. Got another prescription and, yep, sent to Walgreens even though I requested Champ VA and provided the phone number. Got injured and thought a follow up with my doctor after ER visit would be good. He suggested I go to urgent care. Then I was experiencing some other symptoms and requested to see doctor. Instead he had his staff call and tell me to go to ER. Time for a different doctor who actually see his patients or at least do a tele med visit.

You should have ask me first. So now I'm stuck- they need maintenance medicine, but absolutely refuses to step through there others Dr office. We are blessed, after about 3 months and I still couldn't even say his name- well one of their closest friend- Thank you Merilee- talked to Dr D- and finally got a dr to take new patients, especially my two!! She's not that fastest dr- not that it took long. Snowbirds ya know. He attended Ironwood HS at the same time as my kids and med school in Phoenix, so he knows the area. Never seen a DO before. The only difference: he isn't one to prescribe antibiotics freely-he often discusses alternatives, if any. He also discusses medication cost- and whether ins. will cover them. Never had a doc do this-really appreciate his unrushed, personal care. On Dr. Doner's death, my husband switched to Dr. Donevant-and I consider he and NP Aracelis "Sully" Von Rueden saved my husband's life by exerting themselves to find a cardiologist who could see him same day! Willingly took my elderly, near deaf mother into a then closed practice, so she could see the same doctor as myself and NP, Von Rueden-who was so sweet and compassionate. Willing to talk loudly(!) so mom wouldn't feel excluded, during the last stages of her life. Have absolutely no complaints on the care here. There seems to be an almost constant change in the front desk and the PA's-I don't know the reason. It's a very busy practice. Sometimes, one waits for 30 minutes or more. When this occurs, i mention this to the front desk and am usually called next. No rudeness! As with any doctors, one has to be self-aware; speak up in own or loved one's behalf. As a family, we have chronic conditions that require long-term/complicated care. Thanks to OVFP-we've survived!

I am very picky when it comes to doctors/dentists (I went through about 4 doctors after I moved to Tucson before I met Dr. Lin!). She recommends natural remedies and suggestions. She's honest when it is needed (I had gained some weight (5-10lbs) and she suggested that I go back to my previous weight from the year before, for health reasons). I very much recommend Dr. Lin if you are in search of a personal and caring doctor. I am a young professional (late 20's), so I do not know how she treats kids or older adults, especially if you have more health problems than I do.
