So I started lamictal which controlled the seizures well. However, if I forgot even one dose, it was practically a guarantee of a seizure. After as while I was ready to try and heal instead of just cover up. I went to Dr. Wyler Hecht and she carefully listened to my history, took the time to research with some colleagues, prescribed a regimen of supplements, did some acupuncture and with time I was able to wean off the lamictal without one withdrawal seizure and have been seizure free since. That was a total life altering statement for me. He told me of a patient of his that was given only 6 months to live and he went to Dr. Heicht ND and his patient is still alive and enjoying life to the fulliest. He basically said, go see her or go blind. Even thou my med ins. would not cover this type of visit, what did i have to lose? Only my eye sight! So I went and that was THE BEST DECISION over the course of 8 years that I ever made! Now December has come and gone and well into summer of 2011 and I'm still working, typing, seeing my wonderful husbands face and Gods beautiful Earth ALL because I listened and done exactly what Dr. Heicht told me to and it wasn't hard to do. I owe her alot. This is the first review that I have EVER written about a doctor and it is by far professional, but we need more doctors to take the approach that Dr. Heicht takes, which is: CURE! NOT COVER UP! I paid $1,000's over the course of the years to dr's that never gave me answers, I had one dr. to tell me it was all in my head. And I paid 100% out of pocket to Dr. Heicht and she put me on the right track. Oh and did I mention? I'M MEDICINE FREE!! except blood pressure. My symptoms WAS: Fatigue, mood swings, bowel trouble, acid reflux, anxiety attacks, heart attack "like" symptoms (which later was diagnosed as esophagus spasms), fevers, chills, headaches and nausea. These things increased in severity as time went on. Medicine that I was on: Nexium, Hyomax daily, Hyomax under tongue, Lexapro, Xanax as needed and high blood pressure. They wanted me to take 2 Nexiums daily, I refused. I seen all kinds of doctors, 3 ER visits and went thru tons of tests and some of the tests included chemicals that i suffered from for over a year and a half and I still had to deal with the other symptoms. All they wanted to do was give me MORE MEDICINE!! ANY TIME I HEAR SOMEONE COMPLAINE ABOUT THEIR EYE SIGHT I ASK THEM, DO YOU TAKE ANACIDS? 99% SAYS YES ! I TELL THEM ABOUT DR. I have a whole…read morehost of mental illnesses, physical illness, headaches, etc. For 2-3 weeks, I've been waking up with heart/chest pain that feels like intense heartache. It wakes me from my sleep. After a 1.5 hr long session with Kim yesterday, I'm happy to report that today I did not wake up with that intense heartache/heart/chest pain for the first time in several weeks. She was able to pinpoint it and clear it in our session. I also had a lot of physical and energetic resistances, especially in my crown chakra that was causing a headache during the session. She was able to communicate messages that my spirit guides were wanting me to know and therefore cleared the headache and resistance.
