My first acupuncturist moved away, and I was going through a series of illnesses, family deaths, grief, loss all leading to adrenal shutdown. Ashley is amazing! Depending on the package you select you can enjoy acupuncture and massage in a 1 1/2 hour appointment which I totally recommend!! Every other week was perfect for me. Fridays were also a nice way to start the weekend! Taste: Green tea while I wait, yum. Sound: Average relaxing spa/meditation music Site: Her office is in downtown. The the rooms are fairly large with high ceilings and a lot of nature light. The lobby is stocked full of herbal medicines and teas. Smell: fresh Overall Feel: Ashley really takes the time to assess what you may need. She is really gentle and calming. She also recommended herbs for digestion, my sweet tooth and a liquid b12. Remedy is an exceptionally cool place. Laid back. Flowering teas. Beautiful calming atmosphere. Nothing clinical or cold or impersonal. I suppose that's it...it's really personal. The diagnosis and treatment I've gotten is always tailored and precise. Ashley is not only an amazing diagnostician, but also a careful listener. And she uses what she hears to solve problems. I go in tired, I come out feeling more energized. My wrists hurt when I make an appointment, they don't afterward. I've been going to Monet at Remedy Acupuncture for the last few months. Monet is a talented acupuncturist, intuitive masseuse, and knowledgeable about traditional Chinese herbs. Acupuncture has helped me relieve muscle tension, anxiety, insomnia, and indigestion as well as helping boost my energy levels. Working with Monet I slowly cut back on coffee, sugar, wheat and alcohol in my diet which helped regulate my energy levels and made me feel healthier overall. (I also lost 7 pounds, but those results may not be typical). The office has convenient downtown location along Market Street and the interior of the office has a calming, healing energy. My review is way overdue. I have been seeing Ashley for the past three years. I came in for a general "tune up" as my husband and I were trying to get pregnant. I now have a happy and healthy 18month old. I saw Ashley before, during and after my pregnancy and it's been a great experience. Where to start!? My experience with Remedy acupuncture, and Jennifer Ross specifically, was most enjoyable. The space is amazing, in a used-to-be news paper building (you can almost hear the stories getting blown right out of the water). Clean, tons of natural light and comfortable. Jennifer's bed side manor, demeanor, personality and sense of humor make the fact that she is sticking you with needles go almost unnoticed. Not only was it quite pleasant and relaxing, but helpful!!! I found Remedy Acupuncture through yelp so I figured I should pay it forward. I was in need of some relaxation and I had a crick in my neck so thought I would finally check out acupuncture (I had tried it once before at a spa). I see Ashley and I really appreciate her calm and friendly nature. The center is very clean and comfortable. I fall asleep every time and wake up seeing so clearly. I had been trying to conceive for some time and finally did after 1-2 months of treatments. Was it because of the acupuncture? Who knows? Jennifer Ross is a talented, caring, smart...and more...acupuncturist and human being. She treated the excruciating pain in my right leg and hip (sciatica) by using a technique called the Balance Method, which released the daily morning serious challenges I had attempted to "live with" for more than ten months. I must admit that the technique involving my left arm and hand was quite curious, but truly, I have never again experienced the problem since our second session twelve weeks ago. I continue to see this incredible professional at least once every two weeks and as a result she has supported me concerning other "old age" symptoms. Jennifer Ross is someone who takes her work extremely seriously and makes one feel most comfortable even at the "worst of times". I first came to see Ashley to improve my fertility and get pregnant a little over a year and a half ago. I was completely new to acupuncture and even a little nervous about it. I still remember my first appt vividly. Ashley made me feel completely at ease and explained the process as well as did a thorough review of my medical history. Being someone who had a hard time fully relaxing for even a massage I was a bit nervous. After the first session I remember asking is it normal to feel so much like jello and wonky? I couldn't believe I could feel so relaxed after 30 minutes. After getting pregnant Ashley remained such an integral part of my support system- I saw her weekly to support the pregnancy as well as to help with any pregnancy symptoms I was having at the time. Even when I traveled internationally Ashley was able to hook me up with acupuncturists in her network so I could continue care in London and even Australia. After having the baby it was so helpful that Ashley was able to come to my house for treatment. We discussed herbs to help support issues with breastfeeding as well as solutions to help support my body as it recovered from the birth. Being able to have Ashley come to my house really helped reduce stress on my mind and body. Ashley is an incredibly caring, attentive, knowledgeable and talented accupuncturist who brings the human connection to the forefront of all interactions.
