My husband found JiLin Acupunture while doing some research on the Internet after I suffer from my fourth episode of Bell's palsy. Even though I'm quite scared of needles I decided to give it a try, so my husband book an appointment. When I got to the office they already knew who I was and it felt very welcoming. The office has a very clean and peaceful environment. The consultation with Mrs. Huh was very interesting and insightful. I was impressed at how it showed a lot of other issues I knew where going on but weren't the reason I came in the first place. I was quite nervous when it was time for the treatment but I really appreciated the patience and how gentle Dr. Jin and Mrs. Huh were. I guess I ended up being a little bit more sensitive for the needles, but it was nothing that was unbearable and after they were placed there was no discomfort. Since I've had Bell's palsy so many times I was explained that I may not get all my movement back and that It might take longer to recover. After a week and a half I started to feel my facial muscles getting stronger and saw improvement in my facial movement. I was so excited to see results so early! This gave me so much confidence because the affected side this time (left side) is my "good side", since my right side never fully recovered from my first episode. So it was very important for me to see that I could still keep some of "me". I followed all Dr. Jin recommendations and along with my treatment I also did the herbs which helped me keep energized during the day and sleep well at night. During the time I was treating my bells palsy I also injured my back at work. Dr. Jin started to treat that also and in two consecutive visits the pain was gone and I was able to sit down, stand up and move around with no issues. She also took care of my high sensitivity to sound and ear ache that came with my Bell's Palsy which wasn't getting any better with the ear medicine my primary care Doctor gave me. As someone who does their thorough research before committing or trying something new, it took me several months before I decided to try acupuncture and to find a qualified practitioner. I found some reviews (especially one in particular) on Ji Lin that stood out from many practices in the area. I emailed them and received a prompt response that brought me to their practice just a few days later. First impressions of the place were its cleanliness, its calmness, its warmth and feeling of accessibility. They patiently but effectively spoke with me to understand my concerns/needs while trying to gain insight on my dietary habits, work environment, and physical activities. In 2013 I began experiencing uncontrollable eye spasms. After seeking medical attention I was told I needed to have Botox to see if it would control the spasms. I am not a person that likes to use a lot of medicine and I certainly wasn't interested in doing Botox. One day I was speaking with the Judy - she owns the dry cleaning business I use and she suggested I go to JaLin Acupuncture Clinic. I had a terrible sprain in my ankle last August. Since the x-ray didn't show anything broken, I was told to let it rest. After more than 4 months my ankle still was stiff. By December I decided to give acupuncture a try. Within two days of seeing Dr. Jin, my ankle was feeling significantly better and I gained back the mobility in it. Dr. Jin continued to work on my whole body for the next 8 days. I had a numbness in my right index finger tip in the past few years. During the acupuncture sessions I often felt tingling and warmth in the problematic areas. At the end of the 10-day treatment, the numbness was greatly improved! I was so convinced by the wonderful results that I persuaded my teenage kid, whose frequent stomachaches the gastroenterologists were not able to diagnose, to try acupuncture when she was having a bad case of stomach pain near the end of December. JiLin Acupuncture: Give it a try! For those still a little squeamish about acupuncture, I felt the same way! I've tried acupuncture before with minimal results but the increasing neck/shoulder/back muscle tension was impacting my breathing and sleeping so I thought I'd try again as the other alternative was muscle relaxants and I wasn't keen on that. My husband found JiLin online and read the reviews both in English and in Korean. A little uncomfortable the first few treatments but when I felt the results starting to kick in a few days later it was well worth the trips back. I'd also recommend the Chinese herbs to nourish and clean out my system. A little bitter but I've found I didn't need that 2nd cup of coffee mid-day as I had more energy and slept better through the night which has gotten me into a good routine. I've also added more fruit and veggies to my diet and less carbs. Morning headaches have also dissipated! Dr Jin and Cameron are absolutely wonderful! Cameron by the way is also trained in Oriental Medicine and earned her Masters degree in Florida. For English-speakers she can explain the specific treatments and benefits beforehand. While I was stacking a wheeled cooler in the trunk, I sprained my lower back. At the spot, I could not turn or walk properly. I managed to drive back home but acute pains lasted. Remembering my mother-in-law had back sprains while lifting up her bag from an airport baggage claims and was healed whithin a week after she got the acupuncture treatments from GiLin Acupuncture, I decided to visit Dr. Jin again, this time for myself. Right after the first acupuncture session, acute pains were gone and to my surprise, I could bend and turn freely!. Today I visited Dr. Jin's three times, and now I feel that I am almost cured. No pains remain. I don't know how to explain this or the effectiveness of this acupuncture from a modern medical therapeutic perspective, but it worked for me and my in-law, like a magic. Awesome Experience for my shoulder pain. Yeah, as you may have the same pain i.e. frozen shoulder pain tingling & numb pain from shoulder to under armpit to all the way to fingers ARE GONE in 1st visit. Can you imagine that? Unbelievable! I had shoulder pain over a year and tried other acupunctures but keeps coming back. Was considering to have surgery. Was referred to Dr. Jin and just had 3rd treatment within a week and unbelievably I am nearly free from the pain. No more lifting hand over the shoulder trying to ease the pain and sleeping thru the night with no pain. As she recommends, will continue to receive her care till not only free from the pain but also developing my body healthier. My husband had severe pounding headache and body aches to a point that he couldn't even open his eyes, couldn't eat or get out of bed. I have had acupuncture in the past for menopausal symptoms including the dreaded hot flashes. After trying hormones and gaining weight, decided to go back to acupuncture. A coworker gave me Dr. Jilin's name. On the first visit, Dr Jilin and Cameron told me exactly what they could do to help me. I can tell you the hot flashes are decreasing and less intense.
