I went back to Tokyo, and check Meister Bock on internet. Wow, I was surprised. This German local food restaurant is very popular in Germany. Several sausages are roughly divided into two types; curry wurst and Mettwurst. I ordered Mettwurst. In Germany when we ordered sausage and then it includes a piece of bread. I didn't know that.:). So l felt cheaper at the time. You can eat foods you order inside restaurant as standing. There is small space you can eat them in this restaurant. I ate sausages at the space as standing. Had to grab a curry wurst when I stepped off the train. It was a must and this was the place that smelt the best. Like a cartoon being pulled in by the beautiful aroma of sausage grilled and ketchup curry. They were on point and savory. Definite stop and grab then devour with glee. read more

Five stars. I love this place because it is cheap, convenient (open very late), and has good quality sausage. Love the krakauer with just mustard. I like that more than the curry wurst which is fine since this is not really Berlin with 20000 currywurst stalls competing for customers. In terms of service, the guy at night near closing is super super nice. He'a like my grandpa. Super nice and helpful. This other guy I interacted in the morning was not as nice but I think it was mostly because he didnt want to talk in English so I dont blame him. Got hungry on the way and sick of McDonald's or KFC this kind of fast food. This is something you got to try out. I came to this place with friends. The place isn't so big, but really easy to find. And the staff are really efficient. Didn't took long, my order was on my hand. Well, it probably because its location. Everyone wanted something fast could take away. It could be stressful working here. They also offer serval seats inside for people who like to sit down and enjoy their meals. The Bockwurst we ordered tasted good and different with more of the places I visited. It was a bit more salty. Haven't had the chance to try the other food yet, maybe next time. oh gosh weister bock was sweet. yeah yeah like everyone already reviewed it. We got the bratwurst, metwurst and curry wurst. Loved all but my fave was the metwurst. Super tasty! Mustard was tasty! Bread was tasty! The currywurst sauce was so interesting and tasty. Try some stuff. Tasted delicious with Coke. Kind of hard to find in the train station walking around aimlessly. It is closer to the exit where you will go out near the church. Just know the name and ask an employee. Place has one amazing employee working so fast - she was awesome. Yelled German stuff to me - I was silent so she stopped and came over like - Oh! you don't speak German I'm sorry what can I get you? She was very nice. Went to this place during my last trip to the city. The sausages hung on the walls looked good but decided to get a curry wurst. For 3.4 euros it was the best meal money can buy. The sauce was killer and spicy. Nothing I can think was less than special. Even the bread they gave was perfect to soak up the sauce. Definite try! read more

You can ask to have it cut up and you can eat it with the wooden fork ( like a wide flat 2 headed toothpick) they provide. All this for 2.85 euros. If you're lucky, the line won't be too long at the Meister Bock in the hallway at the Cologne main train station, but there always is a line. The sausages are large, hot and delicious, the bread is fresh, and the mustard plentiful. The price is cheap. You can either stand up and eat to the side of the sale area or take your sausage with you. Either way, have your money ready and your mind made up when you stand in line, as the Meister Bock wants to serve you quickly and to go on to the next customer. I never go to Cologne without stopping here, and if you're in Cologne you should not miss the opportunity either. read more

If you ever find yourself in the HBF with a little time to kill, and a hungry belly, walk yourself over to the Meister Bock for some sausage. Have cash in hand (the price is amazingly low), and quick decision making skills. It is a one man show behind the counter, and he has no time for your indecision. Stand in a straight line behind the register, place your order, and it will be in your hand before you blink your eyes. Quickly step off to the left, but DO NOT stop at the counter...he will firmly ask you to get out of the way! There is an area all the way to the left, where you can sit or stand to eat your food. So down to the nitty gritty. The sausages are delicious, and the crispy yet chewy roll that is served with your sausage is a perfect accompaniment. The currywurst comes in mild OR spicy. I HIGHLY recommend the spicy sauce...my mouth is watering as I type this. The mettwurst with mustard is simply delicious as well. Since there is just one guy working at a time, the tables aren't cleaned off regularly. Considering the location, and just how busy it is, I didn't consider this to be an issue. I just grabbed a napkin and wiped the crumbs off the table before we put our food down. All in all...great food, very fast, very cheap! read more

On July 24, 2014 at 16:30 we had the worst most intolerant service at Meister Bock at the Köln Hbf that I have yet to experience anywhere during my travels in Europe. The young woman (very short blond hair) who waited on us was intolerant and impatient. We ordered two Bratwurst and two Bockwurst. She repeated back to us that we wanted what sounded to us like two Bratwurst and two Bockwurst, and then stated that we wanted four sausages all together. We confirmed this and as she was filling the order we noticed they were all the same. We explained to her that there was a misunderstanding and she proceeded to tell us that we in fact ordered 4 bratwurst when we actually did not. She refused to correct the order. Since we had already paid and were pressed for time we took the sausages that we in fact did not order and moved on. She was extremely rude and certainly did not care at all about the customer. We felt she was not a very good ambassador for this business. I am sure that dealing with foreigners is challenging,but we were trying very, very hard to be curtious and communicate with her and feel we were absolutely treated obnoxiously and did not get what we in fact ordered. read more
