This Meijer seems to be always busy and short staffed. I go here out of convenience at times, but I prefer other locations.

They said they could fix them, and because of how unacceptable the original cupcakes were, I had no choice but to wait. It would have been absolutely unacceptable to show up to the event with what they originally presented me with. Because of this, I was late to the party that I was responsible for setting up. Once they were fixed, they had to rush to do the best work they could in the short amount of time they had. I appreciate that they tried to make things right, but I can't help but feel that the final result could have looked so much better if my original order had been followed in the first place and they hadn't been forced to rush. We were finally ready to hurry to the event, but thankfully, I checked the 4" cake that came with the bundle before leaving. I had specifically asked for it to say "engaged," only to find that it said "engaded." So, I had to wait even longer and was even more late to the event. I was told that the owner would reach out to me to resolve the situation and address the experience I had, but I have now been left on read for going on two weeks. After spending over $500, I expected much better communication, attention to detail, and customer service. I understand that mistakes happen, but I believe it's how a business handles those mistakes afterward that truly matters. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting to hear from the owner. Photos attached: What I was presented with (bleeding black blobs of frosting) vs. what I originally requested (black cloth bows).

We tried to reach out to her several times, but she has failed to respond. Which was also consistent with trying to get a hold of her through out the process. Although cake did taste good and all the other items were great, she definitely can not make a wedding cake.

Oh sweet Jesus, a galore of cookies and sweets. I seriously had to have a conversation with myself, No sweets Wen! Don't blow the diet now, way to many protein shakes as meal replacements and workouts for that, but jeez, the thought taunted me all night! They also have broasted chicken, salsa which I tried and was quite unique tasted like a vinaigrette type salsa, quite tasty. Actually I think I love it! They also sell quarts of homemade pasta sauce with meatballs as well as premade mostaccioli meals with meat sauce. This place has a huge meat and deli section, as well as fresh salads. The prices a bit steep. I bought some marinated chicken breast which I grilled, quite fresh and tasty. They also have all kinds of breads and regular fare of groceries. This place carries many locally made products and is a nice little place. I highly recommend stoping by to check this place out.

I love this place…read more I stop in often as it is near my sons practice field for soccer. When you walk through the door there is a case full of beautiful pastries and cookies. The kifles are so yummy!! They have a hot food section and I've eaten several items there. The ribs are always a hit. My little one likes to get a corndog from the deli. The meat counter/deli runs the entire length of the store. You can get house made sausages, and almost anything you might want for dinner. I personally love the olives and the precut cheese pieces. They make a nice snack while I'm waiting at practice. All the staples are here and a giant selection of wines as well.

Tony Cannoli has always been a favorite of mine for nice Italian treats. This particular location…read moreis essentially a counter located inside of the Trentwood Farms grocery store but has everything that you expect out of a delicious Italian bakery. I believe they are related to Luca Pastry (same owner?) , which was a surprise when I picked up a business card and it listed both Tony Cannoli and Luca Pastry. No wonder I like both of them so much! I always get the cannoli here and usually one or two other items. This time I got: Italian/Sicilian Cannoli ($2.75) - The only difference is the topping studded on the ends of the cannoli. The Italian has chocolate chips while the Sicilian has ground almonds. Regardless of type, the shell is fresh and has a good cookie crisp, while the interior is filled with a ricotta cream mixture that is sweet, decadent, and very filling. The cannoli aren't made fresh to order, but I doubt they keep them in the case for longer than the day they are made considering how good they are every time. Eclair ($3.50) - The eclair has a thin chocolate ganache layer encrusting the top that melts easily in your hands. Underneath there's a thin shell of choux pastry that is generously filled with Bavarian cream. The cream is smooth and rich and not too sweet. Delicious! I especially love the Cannoli Paczki they have every year near Paczki day. They didn't have them yet when I went, but I will definitely be back soon to get some. If you're looking for some delicious sweets, give Tony Cannoli a try! Edit: I went back to Tony Canolli in February to pick up a Cannoli Paczki, this time to compare against two other bakeries in Metro Detroit. Cannoli Paczki ($3.25) - The ricotta filling is delicious as always. Sweet, slightly tangy, rich and dense. The mini chocolate chips studded in the overflowing filling is a nice touch to really tie down the cannoli twist. The paczki dough felt the most industrialized of the three places I tried. It felt kind of like commercial brioche - very uniform with what seems to be a decent amount of dough conditioner and stabilizers. The taste of the dough isn't nearly as developed as my top choice (New Palace Bakery). It also felt like the dough was maybe a little dried out, perhaps sitting out for a while in the display case. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have noticed some of these characteristics if I hadn't been doing a direct comparison and instead was eating this in a vacuum. Overall the paczki is still good. It's just not the best of the best.
